The place was clean and it would have been fine but staff turned off access to the room’s AC. It was HOT in Madrid those days and when we got to our room, about an hour after there was no longer any staff, we came into our room and the temperature was rising quickly. I emailed first and waited for a reply while we tried various things to turn on the AC. When we had no success, I called the emergency number they provided. I informed them that the general AC didn’t work. They knew the mini split AC in a section of the room also did not work, only the fan, which they directed me to turn on. They suggested that we sleep in that part of the room. I chose that room because my brother and I were traveling together and that room gave us separate beds and separate areas to ourselves for the night. In the morning when the front desk staff read my email, the staff member replied saying that the AC was now on (this person turned it on). It appears that there was nothing wrong with the AC, just that access was turned off the night before. It was upsetting because at no point in the description of this place did it say that access to AC was limited in any way. Also, considering how hot it had been in Madrid, access to good AC would have been a welcome relief. Instead, we wasted more than an hour trying a variety of things, still had no AC, and the was so uncomfortably hot that I barely slept.

Good location. Clean and tidy rooms. No frills but fine if you just want a central base. All good. Would recommend.

Destacamos el trato recibido, la bienvenida y amabilidad del personal. El desayuno económico y bueno. La habitación limpia, decoración moderna. Es céntrico y su localización permite llegar a al Gran Vía a pie e tres minutos. Volveremos y lo recomendamos.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very nice and helpful!
