Another trip to this hotel and the staff are very helpful and the food was good also But the bedrooms need some tlc

We were situated on the ground floor underneath the reception area - the room was excessively noisy due to the creaky floor which made it difficult to rest properly at night. The window in the room was broken and would not shut properly which created multiple issues. It allowed flies to enter the room and also caused serious concern regarding the security of belongings. I was travelling with valuable race equipment and felt unable to leave these items unattended in the room due to the lack of a secure, functioning window. The overall cleanliness of the room was also unacceptable. There was visible mould around the bath, which raised concerns about hygiene and maintenance standards, there was a sticky stain on the side of the dresser that had clearly not been cleaned prior to my arrival, which further caused the attraction of flies into the room making it unpleasant. The hotel was booked through hotels.com which I would not recommend. Their customer service is very poor with online agents promising to resolve issues however you never hear off them again.

Dining room ok .our bedroom terrible filthy carpet.loose wallpaper ceiling was patched Complained to reception got another room which was better but would be no good for a weeks stay. No drawers, big bench like thing to close to bed, curtains had obviously been taken from a downstairs room as they were hanging with at least 1metre on the floor. very dissatisfied and would not go there again overpriced

Very nice staff. Excellent breakfast. Reasonable price bar. The room was clean but in need of a new carpet or a good carpet shampoo

Our room was next to the lift, no good on the first night ( noise pollution) . The front desk kindly re roomed us on the 2nd night. Lovely hotel, very helpful staff. Excellent location. Highly recommend. Not room 236 though. Can't be perfect now can it. Peace

It was ok for the price we paid, the room was basic, no hand soap, but towels, bedding very clean..room was dated, a little dust around but again for the price we paid didn't expect 5 star luxury...very handy for venu cymru, 5 min walk...car park £6 for the stay, but we're informed though checkout was 11 we could have left the car till 1..

Staff were friendly and helpful. Our Room could use some general maintenance .

Bedrooms are very dated, dirty carpets, plug in sink didnt work. Seagul tapping on bedroom window all night for the 2 nights I stayed. Downstairs much nicer and breakfast was ok. Staff were very nice.

The original room we were offered was dirty with a badly stained carpet and dirty pipework in the bathroom. The walls were dirty with peeling paint and the mattress had very little support left in it. We complained about this room and were moved to another room (the only alternative available which had 2 single beds - not what we had reserved but the only acceptable alternative). This room did have a clean carpet which was newer and better / newer mattresses. The bathroom was very dated and there was very little water pressure in the shower. The hotel was not cheap and therefore our expectations were higher than this for the price point.

The hotel is beginning to show its age as you would expect but it was well maintained and the bedroom and bathroom was spotlessly clean. There was also plenty of milk for brews in the room. We didn't eat or drink in the bar so cannot comment on that.
