Excursió d'un dia a la Gorja de Taroko a Hualien (amb guia)

Gaudiu de la vostra visita a la Gorja de Taroko, tot i que la majoria dels senders estan tancats a causa del terratrèmol del 2024. Continua sent una experiència agradable amb algunes parades pel camí. Gràcies a la Josephine per les seves explicacions i el seu sentit de l'humor.

Aquest viatge va ser brillant. Josephine va ser una excel·lent guia turística que parlava mandarí, anglès i japonès. Vam tenir el temps perfecte a cada parada i vam aprofitar molt. Era molt coneixedora de tota la zona i fins i tot ens va deixar fer un parell de parades ràpides addicionals per fer fotografies. Mentre que molts altres tours poden semblar apressats per anar d'un lloc a un altre, aquest va ser perfecte. Sens dubte, el recomanaria!

Malgrat el tancament de moltes rutes de senderisme a la Gorja de Taroko, segueix sent un espectacle digne de veure. L'itinerari està ben planificat i vam tenir molt de temps per passar a cada atracció. El nostre guia, el senyor Lin, és increïble i va compartir molta informació interessant durant tot el trajecte. Recomano molt aquesta excursió a qualsevol persona que vingui a Hualien.

Si viatgeu sols, agafeu aquest tour! Si el tour en anglès no està disponible al menú, trieu el tour en mandarí i molts estrangers també s'hi uneixen o locals amb els quals us podeu barrejar. Així que és perfecte! No cal que us preocupeu si el guia és taiwanès perquè us dirà l'hora de tornar en anglès. Us donarà molt de temps per a cada lloc. Sense cap pressió. A més, Hualien és increïble! La natura en si és increïble! L'heu de visitar! I hi tornaré algun dia.

L'any passat hi va haver un terratrèmol i, com que no parlo xinès i el meu anglès no és fluid, estava una mica preocupat per aquesta excursió, però, per anar al gra, va ser la millor excursió. Malauradament, el canyó trigarà a recuperar-se completament, però tot i així va ser meravellós. Gràcies a la guia amable i el sentit comú de la guia Tommy, vam poder completar l'excursió sense cap problema de principi a fi. Si torno a visitar Taiwan, definitivament vull tornar a Hualien! Moltes gràcies per deixar-nos un record tan bonic.

I am penning this down to write an outstanding compliment to our tour guide Mason whom not only amazing/ knowledgeable at what he does, but also who went all out to save our lives during the 2024 earthquake where Hualien was at the epicentre, 2 days ago. The day before the tour, Mason contacted us personally to arrange the pickup from our hotel and to confirm the time. When we first met on the day, he has been an amazing guide, so vibrant, humourous, lively and full of zest. He took the time an effort to remember our names personally and engage/interact with us whenever he can. Not forgetting he is also a great photographer and knows all the best spots to stand to have the best angle on all the location. Just ask him and he knows the best Love the “Taiwan Island” group photo he took for us; attached below. Mason’s exceptional expertise in Hualien and Taroko Gorge was evident in every aspect of our journey. His in-depth knowledge, attention to detail, and engaging storytelling brought the history and beauty of the region to life. We felt privileged to have such a knowledgeable guide who not only shared valuable information but also fostered a deep connection with the place. His passion for the destination was contagious, and we left the tour with a newfound appreciation for Hualien and Taroko Gorge. In fact, it’s from this trip I’ve discovered that my ancestors thousands of years ago are linked to the Amis people of Taiwan and that got me mindblown ! Something that even my family was not aware of that we have roots all the way in Taiwan. After the day tour, we went our separate ways and the very next day was the fateful day where Hualien was struck a 7.4 magnitude earthquake where we were at the epicentre. As Mason has our contact number, he personally checked on us on our wellbeing. Many of us are panic-stricken from the natural disaster. I was about to check out from my hotel when the disaster struck and was informed all roads and trains up north to Taipei has been closed or damaged from the earthquake. We were trapped in Hualien unable to leave the epicentre. There is no way out from the city to evacuate. Mason literally came to the rescue ! He used his personal car to pick us all up from the hotel and some of us stuck at Hualien Train station. The only way out from the epicenter to Taipei is to drive 7 hours convoy south towards Kaoshiung and take the HSR, which he tireless drove non-stop all the way to ensure the safe evacuation of the 7 of us. He said he felt a sense of responsibility to ensure us visitors are safely evacuated out from the disaster area and that we can safely return to Taipei and back to Singapore for our flights. Mason has been our life saver as we were literally trapped in Hualien if it wasn’t for his heroic endeavour to organise an evacuation route for us within his own resources. I am thankful and grateful for his valiant act to ensure safe passage out of Hualien and it is highly commendable ! Thank you Mason Cheng Kuo-Hsiang 鄭國祥 for rescuing us from a natural disaster ! Your heroic efforts deserves a medal !

Taroko Gorge is a Spectacular sight. This day tour also allow us to visit the Qingshui Cliff & Qixingtan seaside as well. Kudos to our guide Mason. He has made extra effort to contact individual group the night before to ensure we are ready (on-time) for our tour. On the day of tour, he has conducted an entertaining and informative tour. He also help us to take interesting pictures. Making this tour an excellent day trip to enjoy the best of Taroko. Hope others will have the chance to visit soon.

one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. the place is preserved so nicely that it’s is beyond imagination. gives the feeling of being in a place where those WuXia heroes practices Kung fu. definitely a place for those who wants to be close to nature too. is it safe for family with teen kids? definitely.

This is the best English guided tour (by Nina) of the Taroko Gorge ever! Worth the time and money.... you get to explore a variety of scenic areas... it's my dad's first time visit to Taiwan and we had a lot of fun :) couldn't ask for more!
