I was so happy with this tour. It ended up being a 1 on 1 tour, which had never happened before. at first I was worried, but the guide was so wonderful. she took me to all the highlights and was well informed about the area. sin e it was a 1 to 1 we had a little extra time at the end so she recommended a couple of extra stops that were totally worth it.
This was our best tour in 15 days that we spent in Japan. The tour guide Nick is knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. Thanks to him we learned a lot not only about Nara but also about Japanese culture and traditions.
A amazing experience! Our guide was super friendly and chatty, and took real joy in showing us the temples and shrines. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who likes to see the culture and history of Nara. And the deer were adorable!
This was an excellent walking tour with a very well-informed guide. We learned a great deal about Shintoism, Buddhism, and the history of Nara as the capital of Japan. The lunch was excellent. This was well worth the money.
We thoroughly enjoyed our half day walking tour with Peco. She took lots of gorgeous photos and celebrated our birthday with a bonus visit to a sake brewery.
This itinerary is great for first-time visitors who want to get a good overview of Nara. The TourGuide is very professional and shares rich historical details about each spot, making the experience more interesting. I recommend sending a reminder or making a quick connection a day before the tour, as I had to proactively check with Klook customer service to confirm everything was set. During our tour, there were two spots we couldn’t enter, which made the overall price a bit higher than I expected, especially compared to other options in Osaka and Kyoto. Nonetheless, it's still a wonderful choice if you're new to the city and want a memorable experience!
This tour has A LOT of walking and is not for the faint-hearted! The tour was really great though, our guide Yuuki was so knowledgeable and friendly and just gave us an overall great experience. The deer were so cute but all very greedy!!
Yuki was an incredible guide. As a native of Nara, she shared with us not only her deep knowledge of the area, but she educated us about Japanese cultural norms, which was tremendously valuable as a first-time traveler in Japan. Yuki's deep knowledge and respect and reverence for her country and culture made me really grateful for having had the opportunity to learn from her.
Hide-San was a very patient guide. He looked at the pace of everyone and adjusted the tour accordingly. We also covered the main parts of Nara in this tour
a small group of 9 people with a helpful guide. walked at leisure pace, went less crowded sightseeing spots. it was a enjoyable tour.
