Què pots esperar
La pintoresca ciutat costanera d'Augusta és una de les millors ubicacions d'Austràlia per observar balenes geperudes mentre realitzen la seva èpica migració cap al nord, omplint la bonica zona de Flinders Bay. Cada any, a partir de finals de maig, els viatgers experimentaran balenes geperudes mascles competint per l'atenció de les femelles mitjançant diversos comportaments, incloent salts i potents cops de cua.
Aquesta zona també és una àrea crítica de cria per a la balena franca austral en perill d'extinció al juliol i agost. L'espècie va descansar abans de migrar als llocs d'alimentació a l'Antàrtida a la primavera. Les balenes minke i l'animal més gran que ha existit mai; la balena blava també són oportunitats d'albirament amb àguiles marines de ventre blanc, àguiles pescadores, ossos marins de nas llarg, dofins i albatros, sovint delectant els hostes a bord del luxós catamarà Alison Maree.

i highly highly recommend this activity if you’re in the area!! there are 2 Charters for you to choose from, and we went with ‘Naturaliste Charters Whale Watching’. Upon arrival, you can choose either or from the 2 charters, & they’ll have your details already. Super fuss free. The crew onboard were super friendly & approachable as well. Managed to see a few whales & dolphin as well during this trip! The water can get choppy, and just take note to bring medicine if you get sea sick :)
The crews were the experts to licate the whales and dolphins. Had really closed up view if the playful whales and dolphins. Worth the teip and definitely value for money.
Easy to register as details are already prepared beforehand. can get abit of seasick in more windy conditions but subject to individual's condition.
Definitely an unforgettable experience to witness the whale! There's 2 companies opening at the location. Ours were under 'Naturaliste Charters' while the other is 'Whale Watch'. So do your homework and make sure you choose your preferred one. Checking in was easy, staff already have my booking name in their records. Might be challenging for some with the open sea. Nonetheless, the crew were always there to make sure everyone is well looked after. Free warm coffee and tea onboard which was much appreciated on a cold winter. Staff is always on the lookout for sighting and make sure everyone gets a chance to see the wildlife out in the sea. They are knowledgeable and open to questions that we have.
wash great! well worth it..good crew and well run oepration. if you get sea sick make sure to have your medication in advance.
Kane and the rest of the crew were fantastic! Very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. We were blessed with beautiful weather too. This was definitely one of the most exciting tours we had in a while.
Guide was experienced and informative. Would have preferred they have a speaker system for everyone to hear. Very cold during June. Bring lots of warm vlothing
we were lucky with multiple whale sightings! sometimes they come very close to the boat as well! highly recommend!
It was a nice experience which my family love it. We get to see not only the whales but dolphins as well. Definitely worth it.
Very exciting tour… the captain will steer the boat towards any active whales for the passengers to watch it jumping out of the waters. A much more stable boat as compared to other tours which used a smaller boat which is extremely unstable in the choppy waters. Be warned… will get seasick if sensitive to motion sickness.
