Experiència clàssica en caiac Franz Josef

Great experience doing the kayak! We had oldies in the group so the guide went slow with us, and toured around, explaining to us how the lake formed from a glacier, and also letting us know if he spotted any trouts in the lake. The waters was calm, so you don't need to worry about the risk of capsizing! They do provide gears such as jackets and kayak skirting as well to prevent you from getting wet. Just take note that their life jackets do smell (like all wet water activities gears do....). If you're travelling in winter (like we did), just ditch your own jacket and wear theirs, if you wear your own then your jacket will smell like their life jackets... Anyway, still a great experience! They also help to take free photos for you using their dslr and the photos turned out great! All attached photos are taken by them. Highly recommended!!

is 7km kayaking, the view is definitely nice, but if physically not fit enough you might feel stress. but the guides is very helpful, they can pull you back if you are too tired to continue.

Great tour. Was really lucky to have clear skies and a small group (total 4 participants) to allow dedicated attention. Saw the white and grey heron. Kayaking duration was just nice. Wind started picking up on our return which made the waves a bit choppier but still able to kayak comfortably. Sunblock, insect repellant, sunglasses and cap/hat are recommended. Photos will be taken for you with their camera and shared with you within 24-48 hours after the trip

Guide gave a lot of background information and interesting facts about the area and wildlife. Waves got a bit choppy later in the evening though but overall a great experience. Highly recommended

Can't find a better spot to do kayaking. Guides were friendly and clear in their explanation for each attraction spot.

Trip was cancelled due to weather, twice. We will have to go back to NZ and try again next time

Small group of 8 with a very knowledgeable guide. The experience was very fun and we learned a lot about the native birds and flora on the hike.

It was a fun trip with a small group, and a knowledgeable and keen guide, but it certainly was not an “effortless glide” around the lake, as described. The effort required was pretty full on for most of the trip and the lake was quite choppy when the wind blew up. I would suggest that participants need a moderate to good level of fitness for this trip.
