Experiència Artesanal a Seül: Crea el teu propi regal Bojagi

If you're ever venturing around the Hongdae area or, are looking for a unique, rewarding and uplifting experience then look no further than Studio Bojagi. The Studio offers classes to learn and immerse in the beauty that is Bojagi wrapping. Upon walking into the studio, we were greeted with a very beautifully presented, spacious and clean room. Our mentor/studio owner MJ was brilliant. She explained how the art of Bojagi has evolved throughout time and even demonstrated how to wrap different items of different sizes. She was very polite, patient and welcoming, went into each step of Bojagi wrapping brilliantly and allowed us to have a turn in flourishing the techniques. Her passion and drive to keep and, pass on the cultural tradition of Bojagi is incredibly admirable. For all you gift giving/wrapping lovers or, people looking for a wonderfully thought out experience. Studio Bojagi is the one which needs that exposure.

The place was lovely. We were lucky as we were the only students at that time. The teacher was very patient and encouraging. Worth another visit! Can’t wait for the advance classes which I hope are coming soon! 🥰

空间真的很美。课堂上学到的四种结法都很漂亮，我都很喜欢。最让我满意的是可以自己挑选包袱布和装饰坠子。我选的包袱布是和店里卖的一样的，单价15,000韩元，课程里一次就提供两块，所以我觉得性价比非常高。 包袱布是双面的，我挑了两块蓝色的，一块用正面，一块用反面来包装，效果特别好。就算打的结形状不太完美，老师也会帮你及时调整，所以完全不用担心。 最后分享一个在课上学到的重要小技巧：在拉紧布料或打结的时候，要比想象中更用力，这样成品才会漂亮。

instructor: La instructora que vaig tenir era molt amable i encantadora. Va explicar la història de l'embolcall Botagi i la seva tradició. En general, va ser molt divertit parlar amb ella. També es va oferir a fer fotos durant la classe. A més, es va oferir a mostrar-me un tipus d'ús diferent del Botagi que no forma part del curs. Realment amable per part seva😊 experiència: Vaig tenir una molt bona experiència aprenent a embolicar Botagi. Va ser interessant i aprendre alguna cosa que puc fer per a la família i els amics és agradable. equipament: La varietat d'equipament és molt bona i si vols, al final de la classe, pots comprar l'equip Botagi, el venen i estic content d'haver-lo comprat. ubicació: Va ser molt fàcil trobar la ubicació i pots passar l'estona per la zona. Un barri molt agradable.

I had a truly meaningful experience at Studio Bojagi, a place filled with the beauty of Korean tradition. I joined a bojagi wrapping class that I had always wanted to try. The session began with a brief introduction to the history of bojagi, followed by learning four different wrapping techniques that can be used for gifts. At the end of the class, I was able to take home the piece I made. The fabrics we used were all designed and produced by Studio Bojagi itself, and they are also available for purchase. I thought it was a wonderful idea, since they can be beautifully reused when giving gifts to friends and family.

Among all the experiences we enjoyed during our trip, this was by far the most exceptional. The class is thoughtfully designed, refined, and effortlessly accessible. Beyond the hands-on practice, we also gained meaningful insight into the history of bojagi — its cultural significance, evolving meanings, and diverse uses across generations. The instructor’s expertise is evident throughout, with a true sense of artistry, precision, and craftsmanship. A truly memorable and enriching experience — not to be missed !!

A very lovely way to spend some time learning a traditional art form in a tranquil setting! MJ is a kind and knowledagle teacher. The class starts includes a Korean drink and snacks, followed by a short history of Bojagi, providing a well-rounded and enriching experience. I highly recommend taking her class!

We had a wonderful time at Mi Jung’s studio, learning the art of making a Bojagi. She welcomed us with drinks and interesting cookies ( in the shape of Hangeul ) to her beautifully decorated studio. It was a very interesting learning experience and Mi Jung was very encouraging and patient. After the class we could purchase extra fabric & norigae charms for future Bojagi wrapping. I would highly recommend this class to anyone keen to learn more about Korean culture and crafts. Looking forward to future trips and classes with her.❤️

We had such an enjoyable time at this bojagi Korean fabric wrapping class! Located in the Hongdae area, the studio itself was lovely, and our instructor was absolutely wonderful--kind, patient, and generous in teaching us several different wrapping techniques. She made the experience feel both relaxed and informative. In addition to the class, the owner has created a beautiful selection of fabrics that are available for purchase, which was a nice bonus. Overall, we had such a great time and would highly recommend this class to anyone interested in learning more about the Korean tradition of bojagi fabric wrapping. A lovely way to spend an afternoon in Seoul!

I had a wonderful experience at the bojagi class. MJ instructor: is very warm and welcoming, and she explains everything clearly, which made it easy and enjoyable to follow even as a beginner. What really stood out was her kindness. I arrived late and she patiently waited for me, and after the class I realised I had lost my wallet. She went above and beyond to help me, guiding me on what to do and even following up later to check if I was okay. A beautiful class with a truly thoughtful teacher. Highly recommended.
