We had a wonderful day visiting Wuzhen thanks to our local guide, Ms Sun. From the moment we arrived, she shared fascinating stories about the town’s rich history, culture, and traditions, making every corner come alive. Her warm personality, patience, and attention to detail ensured that our trip was smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. She was always happy to answer questions and recommended excellent spots for photos and local delicacies. Wuzhen is beautiful on its own, but her knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience truly special. Thank you for your professionalism and hospitality—we highly recommend her to anyone visiting Wuzhen.

We booked the Chinese-guided tour, so most of the explanations were in Chinese—but huge credit to our guide for really trying her best to communicate with us. She was very helpful and made sure we still enjoyed the experience, so definitely 5 stars for her effort. Lunch: We had lunch with the group, but honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it. The place didn’t seem very hygienic, so it’s better to bring your own food or eat somewhere else. Tour: The town itself is absolutely beautiful. It really preserves that ancient charm even in modern times—it felt magical walking around. Definitely still worth visiting and taking the tour.

Our tour guide (徐导游) contacted us via wechat a day before the tour. The bus pickup was quite punctual & our guide gave an extensive intro about Wuzhen on the way there! There are optional top ups (eg. Boat Ride, Lunch & Audio Guide), which isn’t included in the tour package. Opted in for lunch only, which we shared a table with the other tourists within the same tour bus! The duration allocated to explore the place is sufficient as well!

這次到烏鎮一日遊，雖然時間不長，但從早到晚走過東柵與西柵，仍然讓我感受到江南水鄉獨特的氣息。白天是煙雨小鎮，夜裡則是燈火人間，同一條河、同一片屋瓦，在不同時間呈現出完全不同的風景。 早上先從東柵開始。東柵保留了比較原始的生活感，老街窄巷裡是曬著衣服與掛滿對聯的民宅，腳下是被歲月磨得發亮的石板路。沿著河道散步，一邊是白牆黛瓦的房子，一邊是緩緩流動的河水，屋檐下偶爾垂下的燈籠，讓畫面像一張張老照片活了起來。走進各種小博物館，例如藍印花布、酿酒作坊，可以看到傳統手工藝的工具和流程，也更能理解「古鎮」不只是用來拍照的背景，而是真實存在過的生活方式。 下午轉往西柵，氣氛就明顯不一樣了。西柵的街道更寬，規劃也更完整，民宿、咖啡店、文創小店一間接著一間，比起東柵的生活感，西柵多了一點度假小鎮的味道。我特地搭乘了一趟搖櫓船，沿著水道慢慢往西柵盡頭前進。坐在船上往兩側眺望，可以看到臨河的客棧、木窗、石橋從眼前緩緩掠過，彷彿自己也成為這幅水墨畫的一部分。比起走路，乘船更能感受到「水鄉」這兩個字的真正意義。回程沿著水邊走，可以看到許多臨河而建的客棧，木窗推開就是河景。 我特地去排隊買當地很有名的蘿蔔絲餅。小小的店面前排著長長人龍，空氣中飄著油炸麵皮和蘿蔔香味。輪到自己時，接過剛出爐、還帶著溫度的蘿蔔絲餅，一口咬下，外皮酥脆、裡面鹹香多汁。站在古鎮的石板路上，一邊吹著晚風，一邊吃著熱騰騰的小點心，那一刻比起任何正式的大餐都更讓人滿足，也成為我對烏鎮最具「人情味」的記憶之一。 傍晚之後，西柵的夜景是整趟行程的高潮。天色慢慢暗下來，河邊的燈籠與建築的輪廓燈一個個亮起來，倒映在水面上，讓整條河像是被點亮。遊人變多了，但在某些比較安靜的角落，仍然可以找到一條只有自己和水聲的巷子。 這趟東柵、西柵一日遊，雖然行程稍微緊湊，很多地方只能走馬看花，但仍有不少收穫。東柵讓我看到較「原汁原味」的生活痕跡，讓人想像過去居民在這裡洗衣、晾曬、聊天的日常；西柵則像是為現代旅人準備好的舞台，把古鎮布置得更舒適、更好拍照，也更適合慢慢住下來。兩種風格加在一起，讓我對「水鄉古鎮」有了更立體的印象。 回程的路上，再回想白天的石板路與夜裡的河面燈影，會覺得旅行的價值也許不在於「去了多少景點」，而在於有沒有在某個瞬間，真的放慢腳步，專心地看一眼身邊的風景。烏鎮給我的，就是這樣一個暫時按下生活快轉鍵的機會。

I had such a wonderful experience on my Wuzhen tour! My guide was Chinese and didn’t speak English, but she went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and understood everything. She was so kind, sweet, and attentive – always checking up on me and guiding me where I needed to go, even though I don’t understand Chinese. Thanks to her, I felt well taken care of the entire time. Wuzhen itself is absolutely beautiful, full of charm and history, and the tour was well organized and enjoyable. Even with the language difference, I truly had a great time and would definitely recommend this tour to others.

I will highly recommend this day tour package. Both the tour guides (刘导 & 苏导) explaining everything in detail and the arrangement is really good and smooth. I chose West gate only because travelling with kid and we have more time to walk around. Taking the boat ride is highly recommended too. The view in wuzhen is really stunning no matter day or night. Thanks to the tour guides and bus driver with full of patience and great attitude.

The guide was very knowledgeable and his sharing were very insightful. The trip was interesting, we had a good time.

excellent guided tour! Wuzhen is beautiful and not so crowded even on a Sunday. Highly recommended this tour as well as this water town!

All was well - itinerary, price, set meal lunch (not buffet). Only thing was there was too many regrouping (understandable as company trying to maximize seats n lowering cost - appreciate). All was well, until the end… the bus took off to bring us back, then had to stop to wait… for passengers who boarded wrong coaches to come n board our coach. not once but twice. 2nd time the wait wails really long, so the trip back to drop off points was so much delayed.
