Excursió en grup reduït de Queenstown a Christchurch, Mt Cook i el llac Tekapo

El nostre recent viatge per carretera de Queenstown a Christchurch va ser senzillament espectacular. Aquest trajecte és una obra mestra de la bellesa natural de Nova Zelanda, oferint paisatges que semblen trets directament d'un plató de cinema. Sortint de Queenstown, el trajecte a través del Lindis Pass, cobert de tussock, és d'una bellesa inquietant. Vam fer una parada ràpida a Omarama, abans que el paisatge canviés cap a la dramàtica regió de Mackenzie Country. Llac Pukaki i Mt Cook: Res et prepara per a la primera visió del llac Pukaki. L'aigua és d'un turquesa lletós, increïblement brillant. Seguir la riba cap a Aoraki/Mt Cook va ser el punt culminant; veure el cim nevat de la muntanya més alta de Nova Zelanda reflectit a l'aigua és un record que guardaré per sempre. Llac Tekapo: Una parada a la icònica Església del Bon Pastor és essencial. El contrast de la capella de pedra amb el llac blau vibrant és impressionant. The darrera etapa a través de les planes de Canterbury fins a Christchurch va oferir una transició pacífica des dels Alps escarpats fins a la "Ciutat Jardí".

La relació qualitat-preu és excel·lent, molt divertit, i el paisatge al llarg del camí és preciós, com si haguéssim arribat al món del Senyor dels Anells. Els nostres dos guies també van ser molt entusiastes i atents. Si poguessin millorar el vehicle, seria encara millor.

Un viatge per carretera d'un dia sencer! Però no em vaig avorrir gens! Pots sentir la majestuosa natura de l'illa del Sud de Nova Zelanda al màxim. Crec que és un tour molt avantatjós, ja que pots parar en diversos llocs. Jo sóc japonesa i vaig participar sola. Em preocupava no entendre l'hora de trobada, ja que no domino l'anglès, però el conductor em va comunicar la informació de manera amable i clara en anglès, cosa que em va permetre gaudir del viatge amb tranquil·litat! Moltes gràcies. Durant el viatge per carretera, també em va explicar moltes coses sobre Nova Zelanda. Si hagués entès l'anglès, hauria gaudit encara més (riu). Dins del cotxe hi havia ampolles d'aigua i aperitius, que es podien agafar gratuïtament. Va ser de gran ajuda, ja que durant el trajecte vam fer una caminada i vam caminar molt.

What I really appreciated about this tour was that it uniquely offers many sightseeing spots while including a fuss-free transfer from Queenstown to Christchurch. There is also the option to trek at Mt Cook or visit the cafe for a nice lunch. However, the journey was quite uncomfortable because the 15-seater van was fully packed - and I was certainly too close for comfort to an uncle in the single seat who kept popping to his left and right to take photos ;_; Worst of all, when we reached Lake Tekapo & Church of the Good Shepherd, we only had FIFTEEN MINUTES. During which, I had to use the toilet, and there was ONE functioning toilet, and an extremely long line T_T I spent all 15 minutes queuing for the toilet, and didn’t even make it across the bridge to see the Church up close. So my memory of Lake Tekapo will, unfortunately, just be of queuing for the one toilet cubicle. Maybe in future I’ll just fly and then book a day trip instead…

Great itinerary. The service was on time and the transition from queenstown service to christchurch was smooth. Considering the distance and overall tour I’d say its worth it

the driver was so punctual in picking us up. he helped us in our baggages. he is so knowledgable in history of queenstown and nearby cities. he discussed a lot until i fall asleep… he dropped us in some picture spots and discuss to us the transfer that we need in the mount cook. the next driver is also very diligent in discussing stories along our way.

Driver and tour guide Collin and Carl are very professional and caring. They told us everything about NZ and you will never be bored during the long trip. The timing is perfect and we have a detailed visit in Mount Cook and Lake Tekapo. The 1 hour hiking in Mount Cook is perfect for beginners. It is very good when you need to travel from Queenstown to Christchurch. Though the van was broken in Lake Tekapo, Carl treated us a meal and let us have more time to visit the Lake Tekapo. Will certainly recommend to everyone to join the tour.

Driver and tour guide Collin and Carl are very professional and humor. They knew the best of New Zealand and told us the culture and history of NZ in details. The itinerary is perfect, just got enough time for everything. The glazier hiking in Mount Cook took around an hour which is best for beginners like us. Though the van was broken in Lake Tekapo, tour guide treat us a meal during waiting which was very considerate and let us have more time to have a better look on Lake Tekapo. Will definitely recommend to join this tour.
