Creuer Hop On Hop Off des Circular Quay o Darling Harbour

Abans de les 9:00 cal anar al taulell de Captain Cook al moll 6 per bescanviar els bitllets. Els horaris dels ferris són freqüents, entre cada mitja hora i una hora els dies laborables, i es pot gaudir des de les 9 del matí fins a les 6 o 7 de la tarda. Alguns punts no tenen parada en tots els trajectes, així que cal estar atents a l'hora de l'últim ferri. En tot el dia vam visitar tres llocs: el zoo de Taronga, la platja de Manly i Watsons Bay, i vam gaudir-ne al màxim. El zoo obre a les 9:30, és molt gran, té una gran varietat d'animals i també hi ha espectacles. Recórrer-lo tot amb atenció pot durar unes 4 hores i requereix una mica de resistència física. El millor és que la majoria del parc té camins amb pendent, ideal per a famílies amb cotxets de nadons o cadires de rodes. A la tarda vam anar a la platja de Manly, que és molt bonica i té moltes botigues de records per explorar. Recomano el restaurant de carn Manly Grill, és deliciós. Al vespre vam anar a Watsons Bay per veure els penya-segats, cal pujar algunes escales, és espectacular però feia una mica de fred. En general, val molt la pena el preu. Si veniu a Sydney per lliure, us recomano provar-ho. Durant el trajecte en ferri es pot veure l'Òpera de Sydney i el Pont del Port, i qualsevol foto surt preciosa! Per a famílies amb nens petits, gent gran o persones amb menys resistència física, recomano comprar el bitllet de ferri de 2 dies, així podreu gaudir-ne amb calma, ja que fer tot aquest itinerari en un sol dia és bastant cansat.

I always use this HOHO pass whenever I visit Sydney. It’s definitely a deal! Here’s a tip - if you take the cruise on a weekend, you’ll be able to board from Darling harbour (1st stop) and beat the crowds (most board the cruise at Circular Quay (2nd stop)). More importantly, you will also be able to pass through the famous Harbour bridge, right under it. What a sight! I recommend using this to go to the Watson Bay and Manly beach. Probably the best way to travel to these places.

Affordable way to explore Manly Beach, Watson Bay, Taronga Zoo via Circular quay or Darling Harbour. Just make sure you know the schedule of the ferry to manage your time.

Wharf6 has another hop on hop off operator called Fantasea, so don’t go to that kiosk. although time table was given and tally with its website, the ferry didn’t come on time but tended to come behind schedule. there is no public announcement nor sign board showing which ferry itinerary is followed except for asking for the staff upon ferry arrival. The queue for boarding the ferry is not managed, so there were huge crowds - some boarding Fantasea ferry - in the jetty. The harbour view was great. If taking zoo combo, it’s better to take 2 day pass to cover all zookeepers’ talks, cruising and visiting all the sites. Wombat curled up in dark burrow, but do catch Capybara talk where they show up in full glory, cute and with nonchalant Garfield-ish eyes. Kangaroo and emu are free to roam around our walk path, so can see kangaroo bouncing up close. Saw Koala hugging tree trunk from a distance, so don’t expect close look or intimate hug.

The harbor trip is good to see more of Sydney but the time of pick up seems to be confusing. The staff does not exactly know the timings so you need to be very mindful of your stay at each destination so you dont get left behind by the ferry. Overall it was still a good experience although out of the 5 destinations, I was only able to visit 2. Thanks.

A very nice experience, the zoo has offered many good and inreresting shows. The closed up encountered with Koala bears and Kangaroos. The manly wharf is near to Manly beach, offering nice blue sea and beautiful beach.

We hopped on to the ferry at 9:30 from Circular Quay hopped off at Manly and did the scenic walk. It was a perfect day around 20 degrees in the afternoon and we managed to get some beautiful shots in too. The sunset was breathtaking as was Manly and Watson’s Bay. Our host was very cheerful and helped us with choosing our interim destinations. Highly recommend this! I have enclosed some pictures from yesterday.
