Very disappointed with this Schwan Locke in Munich. We had stayed at the Edinburgh and had enjoyed our stay so we booked the Munich location. Right at the beginning we ran into issues. Poor signage for registration has you going from the main door on the right to the door on the left that has a registration sign with a small arrow referring you back to the other door. We pressed the door release and it wouldn’t open and the door was locked. I called the number with no answer and no response to an email. We banged on the door several times and finally someone came and said the button was slow. Staff at the desk spend most of their time scrolling their phones and seldom engage with the guests. The breakfast was fine but there was no toaster available in order to have toast with your bacon and eggs. I asked the kitchen rep and he said he had been asking management for a toaster but no success. This is strange since they supply a toaster in each room. There is no coffee maker in guest rooms which is another disappointment. Instructions left in the room on how to operate the oven/microwave would be helpful. None seen on the website or on the TV room info.

Great location easy access to Munich HB, clean lovely facility, helpful staff. The room was ready before check in time which helped our journey quite a bit. Having laundry on site was also a great perk. The property has no air conditioning but the staff was able to provide a fan so that dramatically helped. The weather wasn't so hot yet so it wasn't a big problem. However, the street can be loud sometimes at night. So if you need to leave the windows open at night, have some earplugs handy.

The apartment was clean and the amenities were great. However, there is no air conditioning. We were lucky that we stayed in mid May because the nights were cool and we could open the door and cool the room down. If we had been there during the summer months, it would’ve been miserable without air conditioning. There is no in-room control for the heater either, so I don’t know how that’s handled during the winter. The location was great. We were just around the corner from the subway and less than 10 minutes from München Hbf Train Station. The area was safe and walkable, but there were not any typical German/Bavarian restaurants and such. They are mostly Roman, Greek, Turkish, and Peruvian. There is a supermarket a block away and that came in very handy. Overall we were happy with our stay.

Very clean, nicely-appointed room with balcony near the main train station. Ethnic neighborhood with friendly people, great value for kitchenette space in Munich.

Contrary to Expedia's description, there is no coffee maker in the kitchen and none available on request.
The air conditioning is controlled centrally - no control in individual rooms.
