Great place - shame about the unfriendly and disinterested front staff. Fantastic location and would stay there again.

Staff is super friendly. I stayed in a private room for 1 person, it had all I needed: spacious bed, private bathroom, a mini fridge and coffee! The location is perfect, walking distance from all restaurants and just in front of the lake. Good thing they have elevators! Being on a 3rd floor and no elevator would’ve been painful Definitely a place to stay!

Stafff welcoming and very helpful. Room clean, kitchen facilities good, didn't need to use the laundry. Perfect location in city, very close to wharf / waterfront, boat trips, sky gondola & luge, ice bar, restaurants, shopping and bus's. Great value for money.

Best location in Queenstown by far! Fantastic family room and great kitchen. Cleaning staff were super friendly. Front staff were very unfriendly - hardly said hello and definitely didn’t want to be there… just holiday workers I believe so didn’t care at all about customer service! They need to up their game on customer service!

Lovely, clean hostel with friendly staff.

Best hostel. I love old quirky buildings with cramped halls and stairs. The rooms and common areas were spacious and well arranged. The picture of the wide open windows and bar seating area is a bit mis-leading. Yes the common eating area is like this, but the view has since changed. Huge trees block the views of anything but leaves. I ended up bringing my food back to the room for a better view. We had a private room and bathroom. There was a mini fridge. The walls were thin but the ceilings were thick. Great laundry area. 40 min wash and 20 min dry in a HUGE industrial dryer. The dryer is normally for their use (sheets), but since they were done, they offered their dryer. Why is this the best hostel? LOCATION. It is literally in the middle of Queenstown, right off the lake. I walk out the door, and the lake is there. Massive numbers of shops and restaurants. Everything is within walking reach. Even a full grocery store and of course loads of tourism fun. Never tried a hostel? No problem! There are private rooms with private bathrooms. This place can't be passed up!

Staff were great and cleaning was fine. The room did not meet our expectations. The web description led us to believe that the amenities such as the oven would be in the room rather than in the shared kitchen. Prospective guests booking the deluxe queen or double should be made more aware that, although they will have an en-suite bathroom, it is very basic and there’s barely enough room to walk around the bed. It’s a hostel and we’ve aged-out of being comfortable with it.

This ain’t the Grand Hyatt, you’re not going find a mint under your pillow, Friday and Saturday nights it can get a bit raucous outside, inside the guests were very well behaved. But clean, functional and a tremendous value , with excellent kitchen facilities, and the best location in Queenstown.
