The location is far superior to most hotels in Porto. The first room we stayed in had issues, and it felt like being in a basement. The view faced a building's side, and the AC wasn't working despite waiting. Even the cold air and room air weren't circulating. The room smelled musty. When I inspected the bed, I found a few small insects crawling. It's likely because of the closeness to the ground floor. I went to the front desk to explain and perhaps find a solution. Being respectful and understanding, the front desk attendant, Anna, was kind and helpful. Management understood and provided us with a new room, which was clean and appropriately refreshed. It's telling that the hotel had once been beautifully decorated and updated. Since then, the carpet shows wear, towels were fraying, couches were stained, and wardrobe doors didn't close properly. I didn't bother with the gym, given the equipment was rusty and didn't seem like I wanted to stay. The views were incredible compared to my first room, and I think that's what is saving the experience. My evaluation is that the hotel's location is amazing. The value is comparable to the other hotels; however, I would seek a more updated hotel if I were to stay in Porto again. Anna really helped us out, and I want to thank her for providing quality expert service.

The best location and only one block from river front. The breakfast is great. I am a solo traveler and felt very safe at this location. I came back for another night before going to the airport..

Easer to find parking and access to the Hotel. very Center waking accessible for everting.

The location is perfect! However the room I was in the bed was hard as a rock. Asked if there was a bed pad for extra padding however the older gentleman on the night shift didn't want to help.

La ubicación del hotel es inmejorable. El punto débil fue el desayuno (las máquinas de café expresso no funcionaban y los camareros estaban siempre sobrepasados) y los servicios en general, ya que no vimos predisposición para facilitar la estancia de los huéspedes, en nuestra experiencia al menos.

Nice location

Had a wonderful stay in Porto. The hotel location was convenient to access everything in Porto and a quick walk to the bridge to head into Vila Nova de Gaia. We were able to store our bags at the hotel for a small fee since we arrived early in the morning which was great. Check in was easy, our room was clean and spacious, and the hotel staff were helpful.

We did not have a positive experience at Carri’s Porto Ribeira Hotel. The staff came across as rude and somewhat arrogant, which made the stay uncomfortable from the start. The breakfast was significantly overpriced—€40 for a meal that was just average at best. Unfortunately, we had to eat there once due to an early tour, but it did not meet expectations. The rooms are quite dark and feel outdated, lacking the comfort and atmosphere you would hope for. Upon checking out at 8 a.m., we asked if the hotel could hold our luggage, and were surprised to be charged €4 for this service. Additionally, the attitude of the front desk staff, particularly one woman, was unwelcoming. It gave the impression that they are tired of dealing with tourists, and that feeling was noticeable throughout our stay. Overall, I would not choose to stay here again.
