Make sure that you get the right bus from the station to get to the hotel. The red bus I think. It will drop you 2 minutes from the hotel. Phenomenal views from room. Amazing breakfast. It is wonderful that people from all over the world visited Switzerland. However, some guidelines need to be posted for sharing rooms. These are my suggestions based on multiple hostels: Share space Don't switch on the room lights if you enter the room late. Switch off multiple alarms Do not sneeze/cough into your hands and then touch items like tongs at breakfast. Please, please, please ban smoking within 100 feet of hostels. The pristine mountain air was constantly contaminated with it. Also outdoor smoke drifts in when windows are open.

Great value for Zermatt. Breakfast included and amenities to store and heat up your own food.

Great stay. We loved it It is a youth hostel ( so think dorm like accomodations) yet spotless, clean, quiet and frequented by nice people. Would go again even though our room was 4 th floor walk up.

Well what can I say, we arrived in Switzerland jumped on a train and eventually arrived in Zermatt not knowing what to expect. We are an older couple not particularly fit although we do walk quite a bit particularly when away. We struggled a bit to find the hostel despite me saving plenty of instructions to my phone, anyway we eventually worked it out with the help of Google maps and a bit of luck. Yes the steps were a bit steep and I was out of breath when I reached the top but all that was worth it when we arrived in our room. The staff were lovely when checking us in really friendly and did see if we could have the evening meal, however due to there being a school party staying there was no availability. The room was warm clean and basic just as we had expected. The view from the windows however far exceeded our expectations to the side was the village of Zermatt with houses and lights dotted all round, to the bottom of the bed was the Matterhorn stunning! The breakfast next morning was a continental breakfast with plenty of choice and again staff were friendly and helpful when you needed anything. I was also so pleased I booked a stay a bit further up in the village as It made us walk round and have a good look, had we been nearer the station a don't think we would of gone up as far as the hostel and missed some of the town. We also found although a bit longer, walking round the road way to the hostel was less strenuous. I would definitely return to this hostel. Thankyou

Everything fines except very strict on check-out time

The 4 person room was great. Amazing views. Good location. Just beware when we come of the steps to get up to the hostel. Breakfast was nice. No kitchen as a downside and not the best for meeting people. But absolutely would stay again

A basic room ... clean and comfortable. A great breakfast. Great staff!

The most challenging part was the walk from the train station to the hostel. Many stairs and uphill. However, there are taxis available. Staff was extremely accommodating, great breakfasts, comfortable room and super clean, which I love. The kitchen area was spotless, as was the hostel throughout. Can’t say enough good things about the hostel.

Very clean, organized. Lots of space. Able to use lockers and shower after checkout so could still enjoy the day in Zermattt
