Hands down one of the worst stays I’ve ever had within the Hyatt portfolio.
This property is clearly not being maintained to Hyatt standards. Our room would never have passed a basic QA inspection. We found hair on the bathroom walls, floors, and in the bathtub upon arrival. The bathroom door was crumbling, and the furniture was scratched and heavily worn.
The issues extended throughout the hotel. Hallways were littered with old garbage, room service trays, and dirty dishes. Baseboards were ripped off the walls, ceilings showed water damage, and the overall property felt neglected. The outdoor pool was covered with a tarp and surrounded by a deck with a large hole in it. Walking through the atrium, we could see rooms on the 4th and 5th floors that appeared completely trashed through the windows.
What frustrated me most was the lack of management response. Brandon at the front desk reviewed photos, apologized, and agreed the room was not up to standard. He advised Director of Operations Florijan Matic would contact us. Nothing. When I followed up, Brandon discovered the case had been closed without anyone reaching out. He submitted a second ticket. More than 48 hours later, still no call or email.
To make matters worse, the hotel was hosting a convention featuring highly sexualized costumes and displays in public areas while children were present.
The condition of the property and complete lack of follow-through made this an incredibly disappointing stay.
