The Shore at Katathani has stunning ocean views and exceptional buggy drivers, who were consistently the friendliest and most helpful employees we encountered. Unfortunately, they were the highlight of our stay. For a property marketed as a luxury 5-star resort, the experience fell well short of expectations. The hotel ultimately arranged an expensive airport transfer, but the driver appeared exhausted, the van had a cracked windshield, and the brakes sounded unsafe.Check-in was chaotic, our villa was not available until after the published check-in time, and communication throughout the stay was inconsistent.While the villa offered beautiful views, it was clearly showing its age. We encountered cleanliness concerns, mold and mildew, maintenance issues, worn towels, excessive humidity, and inconsistent housekeeping. We even found a feedback card left behind by a previous guest. We booked a private pool villa to enjoy the pool, but the water was so warm it felt more like a hot tub than a swimming pool. Dining was equally disappointing, with limited breakfast options, unavailable menu items, slow service, and an uncomfortably hot restaurant. Most disappointing of all, after emailing the resort to share our concerns, we never received any response. Beautiful views alone do not make a luxury resort. Based on our experience, we would not recommend The Shore at Katathani.

Great hotel stay for a peaceful trip to Phuket. The location is perfect if you prefer a hotel that isn't near a lot of the party scene in Phuket, but its. Not too far to have fun!

Incredibly kind and helpful staff. Beautiful, clean, and tranquil property. Delicious and extensive breakfast served each morning with the perfect views. Highly recommend.

We reserved a room for 2 and then added a person to the room (daughter joined us) and paid the extra charge. It was a king bed and a couch so nothing extra was added to the room to accommodate the 3rd person. But still the extra charge which was substantial but oh well we paid it to be together in a nice room. Our other daughter decided to join us late so we had 4 people show up after a long day of traveling. We did not need anything else added to the room we told them. We can all fit easily and would even pay for the 4th person since that was the policy for the 3rd person. Same room nothing added - they just get more money. The lady at the desk said NO. Argued with us. Every where we went on this trip - multiple places people were so nice until this person. Very unreasonable. In the end we had to get the manager and pay for a 2nd room in a sister hotel which we did not use at all. We all stayed in the first room and fit fine. There was no excuse for the lady at the front desk and the way she interacted with us. Great hotel, great room experience with private pool but that left a bad taste due to the interaction at check in. Especially since the solution was what we asked for - to all stay together in one room which the mgr okayed - as long as we paid for another room he didn't care if we stayed together.

The breakfast was good each day. The eggs needed a little lore cooking but the staff were happy to help.

Me and my husband had an amazing time. The villa was everything. Our view was of the ocean, island and partially the beach. Definitely coming again with my family.

Excellent resort! Staff was amazing! Rooms super clean! Property well manicured! Pool area had the perfect relaxing vibe!

I enjoyed my 32nd birthday here! Attentive and welcoming staff and a property for a princess. I thoroughly enjoyed the luxury! :)
