Ottoman Hotel Imperial - Special Class

We stayed in room 201. Good size room. Good ac. Bathroom of good size. Good bed and linens. Good shower with tub-jacuzzi (we didn’t use latter). Room looks out at Hagia Sophia. You are very, very close. 2 issues with that, neither under control of hotel. 1) Extensive renovation really hurts visit to H. S. They should either shut it down entirely or seriously discount the ticket (which is about $30). They did neither. Dome view blocked and so building unimpressive. 2) Call to prayer disrupts sleep at about 0430 each day. About the hotel itself: super friendly staff. Transported luggage from vehicle drop-off point (about 200m from hotel) all the way to room. Great breakfast. We tried appetizer and dessert at Matbah restaurant. Very good, but pricey. We’d stay again.

The room was comfortable and had excellent amenities. Its location was perfect for me and was cleaned daily. The restaurant had fantastic views as did the separate breakfast room. The food in the Matbah Restaurant was amazing! Chef Kadir Yilmaz uses cooking methods and recipes from various Ottoman recipe cookbooks like Fatih Devri Yemekleri (for Fatih food) and even the very first cookbook about the Ottoman cuisine. I had Beğendili Kuzu İncik / Lamb Shank with “Begendi”, the first night and Kirde Kebab – roasted beef tenderloin with yogurt and vegetables on crispy dough on my last night. Both were excepional. A truly wonderful culinery experience. Thank you Chef Kadir Yilmaz! The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of the Hagia Soifia Grand Mosque, the Big Bus and trams. During the day I sat outside on the terrace, Americano in hand, watching the world go by! I had booked an evening boat trip and was able to walk to the port in fifteen minutes. Getting around was easy. The staff at the hotel were all helpful and friendly. In particular, Sevgi who looked after me at breakfast and dinner. She was attentive and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Thank you Sevgi. You are amazing! I enjoyed my three day stay and I am extremely happy that I chose the Ottoman. I will definitely return,

Hotel is in a great location. Staff is top notch...helpful, friendly, professional, accommodating. Rooms are totally serviceable, but could use a bit of refresh. Every request, every need was met with fast, efficient response. Dining room breakfast staff was top notch, also. Highest praise and recognition to Sergi who was "the best". She was so friendly, and helpful. Brought good cheer and "sunshine" to the breakfast room. Shout out also to Yusuf. Definitely would stay at Ottoman Hotel Imperial again

The rooms were clean and the service is excellent. Breakfast was really good. The hotel is in close proximity to many areas of interest. Overall, a very good choice if you ever plan on visiting Istanbul.

Great staff and excellent breakfast including having gluten free bread available to meet my dietary needs. Rooms were clean with a comfortable bed, and a great view and ideal central location!

I guess this time of the year they do not expect anyone to put the airconditioning on , when I tried to put it on it did not come on. I did not call reception to find out why. The curtains do not cover the entire window hence it is bright in the room while sleeping. The staff were very friendly at reception, concierge and at breakfast. Very very convenient location to important must see sites in Istanbul.

Everything was in walking distance amd breakfast was fantastic. Staff was amazing.

Most of the things were very good like the welcoming, most of the staff, breakfast and the team at the restaurant. But the location was so hard to go up and down over the hill and main street, and the taxi plan was so unprofessional due to service and range they gave me and later it was totally different. Thank you Regards
