They honoured the reservation and did not ask for deposit if not using a credit card. Just examined the room after checking out. Overall great staff, quiet neighborhood and a good hotel in Hong Kong for the price. They’ve set the benchmark for my stay to find a nice hotel and not a hostel.

Clean room, friendly staff and good location too.

First off, the staff and cleaning ladies are all outstanding. Always looking after their guests and doing their jobs well. The facilities - pantry on every floor, laundry room, cardio machines, gym and yoga rooms - are impressive compared with the affordable price we paid. This is my third stay in three years. Still enjoyed South Nest a lot. Here is the thing! They started to rigidly require the perfect match between guest name and the official name on passport. Even though they recognized it’s my third time staying there, they refused to let me check in. Expedia’s Hong Kong Office couldn’t do anything, nor the AI chat-box of their online platforms (website or app). I arrived late at night after 20+ hours of flights. It took over an hour waiting for them to finally let me in! Expedia and the hotel management not only failed me but also their staff!!

To cut the long story short, the terrible experience, neither Expedia nor South Nest Hotel (Anerdeen, Hong Kong) was willing to take the responsibility for my request of one night's refund which I have complied with all the requirements with proofs. Even though i followed the Expedia cancellation/change guidelines of notifiying South Nest about my new arrival date more than 3 weeks before Nov 21 which is the last date for full cancellation/changes. Yet, after days of negotiation with South Nest and Expedia, final verdit was South Nest said NO STAFF picked up my message which I have a proof of the conversation. Expedia tried to help but the final decision was up to the hotel's discretion and of course South Nest insisted they would not give me the refund. In short, as a customer torn between the 2 parties with proof to seek for one nights' refund which is totally unacceptable. For any travellers plan to stay in South Nest in Hong Kong, you might take a second thought. There are plenty of hotels in Hong Kong offer very competitive price. South Nest is NOT an conveniently located, NOT close to MTR the subway (not within walking distance) which is the prime transportation system in Hong Kong. Good luck to travellers.

The room was clean with very helpful staff.

Clean room, clean facilities. Appreciated having a kettle in the room. Well designed room that used space efficiently. Wish there were a few more hooks for hanging towels and a bit more space for hanging clothes. Nice view. Excellent price. Nice staff. Great to have a kitchen on every floor and a spacious common area on the main floor. Kitchen could be a bit more well equipped for hotel guests. Need plates, bowls and cutlery.

Room is clean. Too bad location only has bus as public transportation.

I stayed here for 15 nights to August 9th 2025. I found the staff to be very helpful and accommodating, The room service girls were amazing and made the room spotless EACH DAY. The bus services from Aberdeen were frequent and easy to navigate. I would recommend this hotel South Nest, and Aberdeen is an amazing place to stay or use as a base.
