Now I was very lucky with my booking as no other person or group had booked at the same time as me so I had both of the instructors helping me. With that said, this workshop is really a unique experience giving you both the opportunity of learning the absolute basics of how to hold the brush, stroke order and some stylistic traits of calligraphy, as well as getting some history behind calligraphy in japanese culture. The main point is then that you get to do a kanji character on a big piece of paper with a giant brush that you then get to bring home and hang in your living room! (Make sure you have a large empty wall hehe). Also you get to wear a kimono! And of course talking about the instructors, they were some of the kindest people I have met travelling through Japan and also offered me some ice matcha which I appreciated very much! I definitely recommend this experience for anyone interested in what I mentioned above and I hope your experience will be as great! ありがとう ございました!~

We had a great experience at Samurai Honors. My kids enjoyed it as did my husband and I. It was very therapeutic for us as a family. Our hosts were genuinely kind. Our small group was private and welcoming. You can't beat this price for all they do!! Highly recommended!
