Singapore Concert Tips at National Stadium
It’s almost time to Shake It Off in the heart of Singapore as your favorite singer takes to the stage at the National Stadium in Singapore! While the concert is sure to be an unforgettable experience, Singapore offers much more to explore beyond the dazzling lights and electrifying music.
As an avid concert goer in Singapore, here are some of my favorite tips to help you make the most of your concert weekend in Singapore, ensuring it's a trip you'll never forget.

    1. Getting There: How to get to the National Stadium

First things first, let's get you prepped for the big event! Always double-check all the essential concert information, including timings and venue details. If it's going to be held at the National Stadium, here's what to note!
Getting to the stadium is a breeze! Singapore boasts an efficient public transport system and one of the easiest ways to get there is via the MRT.
    • Nearest MRT Station: Stadium MRT Station (CC6 on the Circle Line)
    • Other MRT Stations: 600m walk from Mountbatten MRT Station (CC7 on the Circle Line) or Kallang MRT Station (EW10 on the East West Line)
Taxis and ride-hailing apps like Grab and TADA are also readily available. All you have to do is select 'National Stadium' as your destination.
#KlookTip: Always arrive at least an hour early to soak up the pre-concert buzz and avoid long queues so you don't miss out on the opening gig! You might want to arrive even earlier if you're planning to grab some concert merch, or exchange friendship bracelets.
Navigating your way back to your accommodation post-concert can be quite the challenge, especially with nearly 60,000 fans leaving the venue simultaneously! However, Singapore's efficient public transport and effective crowd management will ensure a swift return journey. From experience, I've gone from my concert seat to boarding a train in less than 15 minutes.
Opting to drive or hailing a taxi might not be the best choice due to heavy traffic and potential surge pricing. For those looking to steer clear of train congestion, consider using Wagon Asia, a convenient private bus service that offers rides from the stadium directly to various MRT stations.

    2. Concert Prep: What to wear and bring to the concert

You probably already know this – Singapore's tropical climate is known for its heat and humidity. For the Swifties, it can be tempting to put on your folklore cardigans or evermore inspired flannel jackets but trust me, you’ll want to dress light for comfort.

While the National Stadium doesn't require clear bags, anything too bulky to fit under your seat isn't allowed, so aim to travel light. Also, keep in mind that banners and fan boards over A3 size and all cameras (yes, even the disposable ones) are a no-go. Your smartphone camera will be your best bet for capturing memories!
Hydration is key in this tropical climate, so bring along a reusable plastic water bottle. There are plenty of refill stations around the stadium. Avoid single-use plastic bottles (the kind you get from buying mineral water or a sweet beverage) as you may be asked to discard them. Stainless steel and glass bottles or tumblers are not allowed too. Stay cool and get ready to enjoy the show to the fullest!

    3. Pre and Post-Show: Where to Fuel Up

Singapore is a haven for foodies, and you won't be disappointed when it comes to finding delicious meals before or after the concert. The vicinity of the National Stadium offers a range of restaurants and cafes catering to different budgets and tastes.
For a taste of local delights, dive into the heart of Singapore's culinary scene with an adventure to a hawker centre, where affordable yet utterly delicious local specialties await. Explore an assortment of classic, Singaporean hawker dishes with the Klook Chinatown Hawker Food Pass.
Craving a casual cafe vibe? There are plenty of options around, offering everything from coffee and pastries to light meals. If you're looking for a sit-down dining experience, explore the various restaurants in the area, serving cuisines from around the world. If you haven't already, tasting the iconic chilli crab is an absolute must-do when in Singapore!
Given the anticipated crowds, especially during concert weekends, making reservations in advance is recommended to avoid waiting times.

    4. Explore Singapore: Beyond the Concert

Singapore's charm extends far beyond the concert stage. Take some time to explore the city and discover its vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and world-class attractions. Here are a few quick suggestions to get you started:
