Fake it till you make it

Let’s face it. Crazy Rich Asians has us all clamouring to live the high life in Singapore. The only problem is – we can’t all be the sole heir to a great fortune owned by one of Asia’s top ten wealthiest families.
Thankfully for the rest of us, there’s many ways in Singapore to live like a crazy rich Asian without actually being one. Think Michelin Bib Gourmand cuisine for just SGD 3 and enjoying sunsets from the top of Marina Bay Sands without actually staying there.
Not possible? We show you how.

    1. Enjoy the skypark at Marina Bay Sands without staying there

The hallowed grounds of the 57th floor of Marina Bay Sands is in fact, open to the public. There’s no access to the infinity pool, but with a view like this on the ‘gram, no one will know the difference!
Pre-book your Sands Skypark tickets on Klook to enjoy major savings (SGD 24 versus SGD 46.90) and enjoy a 1 Day FunVee Hopper Pass at the same time! This sightseeing hop on and off bus pass covers most Singapore landmarks perfect for more #extra pictures or a chill way of exploring the city. Sit upstairs on the open deck for best results!

    2. Get your culture on at the ArtScience Museum

Located just next to The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, your next rich Asian stop is the ArtScience Museum – the impressive lotus-shaped structure sitting on the edge of the Singapore River.
The good news is you don’t actually need to be a history professor like Nick Young to enjoy the state-of-the-art exhibitions at the ArtScience Museum. Many flock here for the photogenic Future World exhibition and some for the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe exhibition with Thor’s Mjolnir on display! Surely everyone can appreciate Thor, or at least Doctor Strange.

    3. Scale the Supertrees at Gardens by the Bay

Most “regular” people have pictures of the Supertrees at the iconic Gardens by the Bay, but you can elevate your rich Asian status (literally) by walking inbetween them 22-metres off the ground!
The OCBC Skyway is a length of connected aerial walkways measuring some 128 metres long. On top of admiring the Supertrees up close (they have actual flora growing on them), you also have a far better vantage point for your photos. Don’t miss the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show happening twice daily at 7.45pm and 8.45pm!
With the same ticket, you also have access to both the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. Three different attractions in a day? What a baller!

    4. Dig into Michelin Bib Gourmand food at hawker prices

In Singapore you can grab a Michelin Bib Gourmand meal at hawker prices because that’s exactly what they are! Forget about fancy restaurants – on the contrary, humble hawker food reigns supreme when it comes to gastronomic indulgence in Singapore.
The best part is you won’t need a reservation or an expensive bottle of champagne for the best dining experience (a bottle of Tiger beer will do just fine). Fine dining taken to a whole new level!
Here’s a list of Michelin Bib Gourmand award-winning hawkers available on Klook:

    5. Have a drink at the tallest alfresco bar in the world

Any self-professed Singapore night owl will know 1-Altitude – the highest alfresco bar in the world! The bar is located on the 63rd floor of One Raffles Place, some 292 metres high. This means amazing views of the city including 19 historical monuments.
Book your tickets on Klook to avoid the crowds by going in the day! You’ll even score a free drink or souvenir photo. A complimentary 1 Day FunVee Hopper Pass is also included in this activity!

    6. Cruise along the Singapore River on an amphibious vehicle

As rich as the Young clan is, we bet they don’t own a vehicle that can travel on land AND in water! The flexibility of this craft means you’ll get to see the best of Singapore from a totally new perspective.
The itinerary includes landmarks like Marina Bay, Marina Barrage, the Merlion, Helix Bridge, Floating Stadium and the Singapore Flyer.

    7. Drive a supercar along Singapore’s F1 circuit

Have you ever watched supercars roll by along the roads and dream of owning one? You can make your dreams a reality for one night!
Get behind the wheel of a Ferrari California or Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and navigate your way along the route used by the Singapore F1 night race! While this activity might seem far more expensive than the others on this list, it’s important to remember these cars can often cost more than a house! It’s all worth it for one night of crazy rich Asian living.
P.S. If you prefer not to drive, you can opt to be driven around instead!

    8. Don’t walk, use a personal mobility device instead

Back in ancient times, the rich never had to walk anywhere if they could help it. In today’s context this takes the form of personal mobility devices like e-scooters, segway devices and bicycles.
You too can zip around the Marina Bay precinct on your own nifty little device of your choice. Explore the city at your own pace and even discover hidden treasures along the way!

    9. Grab the gang and hit the pubs

Socializing isn’t just for high-society. For the best night out, sign yourself up for a pub crawl, make new friends and paint the town red with your newfound posse. Hit up some of Singapore’s best bars and clubs and enjoy complimentary shots at every locations!
No queues, no fuss. Just fun all night long. Who knows – by the end of the night you might have just found an actual posse of new friends over shared experiences and sour plum shots!

    10. Travel like a first class passenger

You don’t need to travel first class to make full use of amenities at the Plaza Premium Lounge at the Singapore Changi Airport! For just SGD 40 for 3 hours or SGD 47.45 for 6 hours, you’ll get to enjoy private lounges, shower rooms, food and drink, massage services and more!
