From early in the morning at 4 am, to the sunny afternoon, and even 'til midnight — shop 'til you drop at these 19 must-visit night markets in Bangkok! You'll easily find tons of (really) affordable clothes, accessories, and even scrumptious street food to get your hands on. So read on and find out more about the best night markets Bangkok has to offer!

1. Srinagarindra Train Night Market

Nope, you won’t find any trains passing by this market. What you’ll find at Srinagarindra Train Night Market instead are women's clothes, men's clothes, accessories, and even vintage antiques for sale — all at very reasonable prices! And if you ever get hungry, there are so many food options here for you too!

P.S. Having spent time exploring this huge night market before, we'd share that you can expect to spend anywhere between one to five hours exploring all that's available here.

2. Jodd Fairs

One of the newer night markets in town, Jodd Fairs, is both trendy and aesthetic with its modern-themed stalls. You can also find lots of wooden cafeteria-style tables around the market where you can sit and eat your yummy night market food finds!

With lots of stalls selling everything from clothes to bags, phone cases, food, and more — it’s no wonder why the night market is always packed with locals and travelers looking to chill, eat, and shop.

3. Chatuchak Friday Night Market

If you don’t know what to do on a Friday evening, then head over to the iconic Chatuchak where you’ll discover a night market that opens only on Fridays, selling just about everything — from housewares to hats, t-shirts, and shoes!

Although only the stalls along the inner main road of Chatuchak are open, you’ll find more than enough stores to shop from. This night market goes in a loop, so just choose any entrance (we recommend the main Chatuchak entrance) and start walking in any direction to enjoy all the stalls in the area.

4. Taladnad Kokotho (ตลาดนัด กกท)

If you’re looking for that authentic night market experience in Bangkok that's also halal-friendly, we highly recommend you visit Taladnad Kokotho! On top of the usual t-shirts, jeans, shoes, and things you'll usually find at the night markets in Bangkok, there are also lots of halal food options and hijabs or scarves if you're looking to score some.

And if you ever feel tired, or want to relax while you eat, there’s a grassy area in front of the pond where you can sit and rest. It's a nice peaceful spot too!

5. Bobae Wholesale Market (ตลาดโบ๊เบ๊)

Forget sleep. Bobae Wholesame Market is the epitome of “shopping all night long” as they’re open from midnight until early morning! From accessories like socks and underwear to men, women, and kids' fashion, they sure have everything here.

You’ll also find street peddlers selling takoyaki, fried meat skewers, and milk tea — feel free to grab something to eat and drink when you feel famished while shopping. Note that this market can get very packed with people and cars (it’s located along a road), so remember to watch your way as you walk and shop.

6. The Owl Market (ตลาดนกฮูก): Affordable shopping for him and her

Compared to the other night markets on this list, The Owl Market is located quite far from central Bangkok, and pretty popular with the locals. Especially because it's a more local market compared to the usual touristy ones, you'll find more affordable prices here!

Think new trendy clothes ranging from casual to party wear, to second-hand (or vintage) fashion, starting from USD 0.58! You can even find toys and kids' clothes, as well as yummy food and drinks to try. After spending a couple of hours here, the next thing you know, you’ll be carrying five bags while waiting for your ride back home to your hotel. #truestory

7. The One Ratchada

With the famous Ratchada Train Market closed down, many night markets in the area have popped up in its place — one of them being The One Ratchada! Located behind Esplanade Ratchadaphisek, you’ll find rows of clothes and food being sold at numerous stalls in white tents, all located side by side.

For starters, imagine grilled squid from USD 0.58 a skewer — so affordable and delicious — and more local delights available. The entrance here is also lit with tons of fairy lights for your 'grammable moment, so make your way over when you're back in Bangkok and enjoy this night market!

8. Pratunam Night Market

The night market is located in front of Baiyoke, where numerous pop-up stalls open at night. So if you’re staying in the area and want to do some extra shopping without having to travel further out to other night markets, this night market is the one for you.

What we love about Asiatique, a night market located by the Chao Phraya River (other than the beautiful river views) is that they have a great selection of Thai knickknacks and crafts, as well as local brands and even well-known stores like Miniso.

You can also find sweets from popular dessert stores like ChaTraMue, known for its famous Thai milk tea and more. To top it all off, if you're done with shopping and looking for something a little more exciting, you can always opt to watch the Calypso Cabaret Show at night too!

The first thing you’ll notice about Liab Duan Night Market is how the entire place is brightly lit due to the LED lights lighting up each stall, and the huge Christmas tree, Transformers robot, and Eiffel Tower sculptures placed around the night market. Like most (if not all) markets on the list, you can expect to shop up a storm here, while enjoying the delicious night market food available.

But the best part of this open-air night market? The affordable prices of the items being sold! Sunglasses for USD 1.75? Trendy pants for USD 7.31?! What a steal!

12. INDY Market (ตลาดอินดี้)

Looking for affordable plus-sized clothes? Discover party, casual, and formal plus-sized attire in various designs here at INDY Market. Of course, you’ll also find clothes in smaller sizes, and accessories for him and her at good prices too.

And when you get hungry, try the seafood in a bucket, Som Tam loaded with seafood and crispy pork skin, Moo Krata, and grilled squid as you relax at the seating areas available!

Although it’s a night market, the highlight of ChangChui Market is actually the abandoned plane in the center of the market. And believe it or not, you'll also find a fine dining restaurant on this plane. The interiors exude vintage elegance due to the chandeliers, angel statues, and raw and industrial interior design.

Once you’ve eaten at Na Oh, the fine dining restaurant, or taken photos of the plane — remember to walk around and shop at the stalls surrounding the plane — the selections here are pretty unique too!

14. The Street Ratchada Night Market: Cozy night market at Ratchada

Big night markets can get pretty packed and noisy, so if you want a calmer vibe but an equally enjoyable night market experience, we recommend visiting The Street Ratchada Night Market.

The night market isn’t as huge as most night markets, so you’ll be able to easily walk around the night market without feeling overwhelmed. But if you’re simply around the area and feel like dining or chilling outdoors, you can do so here — there’s a bar here too!

15. JJ Green 2 Market

There aren’t any night markets more vibey than JJ Green 2 Market, with the stalls located in container-like boxes and sliding metal doors filled with colorful graffiti. At this two-story night market, you’ll find many stores selling clothes, accessories, plants, and Thai snacks on the bottom floor and restaurants on the top floor.

And if you’re feeling lucky, test your luck by playing spin the wheel — you might get lucky and win a huge plushie!
