We all know the Burj Khalifa building is tall, but do you know how high it is? The official Burj Khalifa height stands at 828 meters high, three times higher than the Eiffel Tower! It is still the tallest building globally and the tallest freestanding structure in the world.
Donning 160 floors, the Burj Khalifa also holds the record of having the most stories. Don’t fret—it also has the world’s tallest service elevator with the longest travel distance. You won’t even have the chance to sweat since it climbs 504 meters at once and travels at 22 miles per hour.
The Burj Khalifa also has the highest outdoor observation deck on Level 148 at 555 meters. Imagine the top floor view there!

Time to talk about some Burj Khalifa facts and figures. Did you know that the Burj Khalifa took six years to build? Yes, construction started in 2004 until 2010, with over 12,000 construction workers on the site. Building the Burj Khalifa took 330,000 cubic meters of concrete (around 100,000 elephants), 26,000 glass panels, and aluminum as heavy as five Airbus A380 airliners!
Burj Khalifa is more than just its statuesque feats. This Dubai icon is also known for its sustainability. It is said to recycle 15 million gallons of water every year to water its landscaping and plants and supply the Dubai Fountain.
In case you’re a fan of the Mission Impossible series, you might even recall Tom Cruise climbing up to Burj Khalifa’s top floor in Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol!
