It had good breakfast and service. Room was decent too and great for the price. Disliked the washrooms and the sinks were in the room instead of in washroom. The public washroom sinks for dorms were bad too (ive been to quite a few hostels and the washrooms might have been a bit below avg)

Clean room, bare bones amenities suited for a hostel, central location. The options to make your own breakfast or have the continental breakfast are great.

A convenient location near Union Square, Museum and the BART station that connects to the SF airport. Walking distance to SF Chinatown and Ferry Building (~20 minutes)

I walked in expecting standard hostel fare, but this place felt like home—travelers cooking traditional meals in the kitchen, others collaborating on couches with laptops or watching TV in the common area, and me planted in the cozy lobby watching SF's streets. The staff were the highlight: culturally attuned, multilingual, they dissolved language barriers with personal chats while effortlessly handling room changes, towel swaps, and laundry coins. The dorms overdelivered—bunks with outlets, reading lights, pillows, blankets, and lockers, plus shared bathrooms inside and extra restrooms plus study lounges on every floor. Housekeeping came daily, emptied trash, kept everything spotless. Breakfast was a free feast of peanut butter, Nutella, bread, bananas, yogurt, cereal, and hot coffee, and the full kitchen offered clean water, fridges, and quality appliances. Elevators and stairs made getting around easy, key-cards and hallway cameras ensured security, and flyers posted clear instructions. I've stayed in hostels with hype but no heart—this one has both soul and substance. When I checked out, I walked away with new contacts, travel wisdom, and that hollow feeling of leaving too soon. This wasn't just a bunk—it was the rare find that has you booking your next stay before the door clicks shut. They give you one flat sheet and a small, thin towel. The rooms are small and there is no AC. They do provide a fan. Breakfast is barebones and the kitchen is rather crowded. Very perfunctory which was fine because I was only staying one night.

Great hostel

Sooo great! A haven for students from all over the world. All that exuberent youthful energy made me feel like I was back in college.
