Loved the service, everything was smooth and well taken care of. The live performance was a great touch too. This isn’t my first time here and definitely won’t be my last. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

Staff were welcoming and helpful. The reservation team were unable to guarantee us the interconnecting door we needed between our two rooms in advance. This was hugely stressful for my partner who only wanted two rooms if we could have the interconnecting door. We took a risk on this and thankfully they came through on the day. We would have been so much happier if this feature could have been secured at the time of booking. Thankfully our rooms were in a quiet wing away from the ‘Sessions Live’ stage where a brilliant cover band interrupted restaurant guests who were trying to eat and talk with each other. I found this setup a bit unforgiving and more acoustic isolation for guests who didn’t want to freeze in the indoor area of the restaurant would have been helpful. We retreated to a closed off part of the outdoor seating and had to argue our case to sit there. Breakfast was amazing and so were the team who served it. High energy happy people. You have to try the roti and the local coffee. I enjoyed the local food items on the menu. Unfortunately there were two dishes on the menu named SPAGHETTI CLASSIC NAPOLITON. One was slightly more expensive with basil & Parmesan, the other slightly cheaper with tomato sauce & broccoli. We ordered the basil one, got charged for that one, but received the other. Perhaps one of these dishes could be renamed so as not to cause confusion? Pool staff were always friendly and chatty. The splash pad was great for the kids too

Food selection needs to improve

First time staying at Hard Rock Desaru. Was very pleasant experience. Would definitely come again.

Not very clean rooms

Restaurants did not meet expectations. Servings took to long, drinks didn’t arrive on time, items offered in the menu were not available, portions were too big, food quality is below 5 star hotels (although the price is as 5 star hotel), and the menu was very restricted at night. There were neither bicycles for kids nor kids chairs for the bikes.

Great long weekend stay with all amenities at arm reach.

Had an amazing experience at Hard Rock Cafe! The ambiance is vibrant and full of energy, with fantastic music and iconic memorabilia creating a truly unique atmosphere. The food was delicious, especially the burgers and starters – fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout. Service was quick, and the overall vibe made it a memorable visit. Highly recommended for great food, music, and a fun dining experience! 🎸🍔

So there are two ways I can compare this place. One on it's own vs my other hotel experiences, and the other by comparing it to the similar priced Westin next door. On its own the place has these problems: - Noisy! Super noisy. Everywhere you go there's this techno music that drives you up the wall if you don't like techno. They have a live band that plays music until 11:15pm, which makes sense given it's Hard Rock Hotel, but if you like to go to bed early to wake up early, forget it because the sound proofing in the rooms is useless against this racket. The next door water park plays loud music all day which also enters the room. If you like to enjoy the balcony with some nice peace and quiet, forget it. - Service is crap I got shuttled around two or three restaurants because they either didn't have place or three places were undergoing repairs. Room service order failed because they ran out of chicken. So I just went to Westin to eat in the end. - Food is very so so It feels like eating in a high end Wendy's rather than a high end hotel. Breakfast options were limited and aside from Malay sweets there's nothing else except croissants. No chocolate cake, no museli, no pie. Now vs Westin which when I booked was only 20$ more expensive for two nights - The view was worse - The beach was not next door. Have to go to Westin to access it - The rooms kind of have character but are not as comfortable - The service was worse - The food was worse. I ate all my meals at Westin
