Staff were really friendly, the fan in the room was really helpful as the weather was so hot. Cleanliness could have been better. Location was very central and easy walking from train station.

Great location

Do not book here...I wish I could give zero stars in the system. We stayed at this location for only one night. The room was hot, so we opened the window... but there was a large industrial fan that turned on every half hour and ran for 30 mins. It was so loud, we could hear it with noise canceling headphones. The towel heater could not be turned off, which contributed to the temperature in the room. To add to this, the shower had black mold in the tiles the shower head was covered in mold, the corners of the bathroom had mold, there was a large patch in the ceiling (possibly from previous work that was done) that was not finished, and the shower temperature could not be regulated. Our friend was in another room and had stained sheets, dirty flooring, and mold in the bathroom as well. I spoke with the staff/owner to say we could not stay in the room, and I requested a refund for the remaining nights. He said it was the responsibility of Orbitz to do this. He hung up on me, when I called back he was irate and said I need to contact Orbitz because I did not book directly with him. Long story short, I contacted Orbitz. They reached out to the owner (who hung up on them then shut his phone off). He refused to refund any amount. Orbitz was so kind to provide me with a small one time credit, which will cover one of the nights we lost.

Just don’t go there.

Great location, bathroom smelt really bad, was a bit noisy outside but for the price and convenience it was fine.

If you want a good nights sleep don’t go here . Not the owners fault early morning bin wagons market setting up . Quality of the room was poor shower door missing hairs on the bathroom floor. Mattress was like a bed of nails

This hotel was one of eight I stayed at during a 12-day rail trip across England. I specifically chose properties near train lines as the entire journey was by rail. Of the eight hotels, this was the most expensive and the worst overall; I've travelled to Oxford a number of times, and will not return to this hotel. Amenities: No reliable hot water—the shower was warm for ~2 minutes then turned cold. I was told issue had been fixed, but received no response when I asked what the root cause was or whether it would recur. In fact, it was NOT fixed that night and I had to message again to ensure it was addressed by morning. No compensation or goodwill gesture was offered. Staff/Service: No on-site staff. Check-in is via lockbox or a phone number on the door. As I had no voice plan, calling was not possible. Wi-Fi details were not provided despite asking; I later found the SSID/password posted in the lobby. After initial replies claiming Hot Water issue was fixed, further messages went unanswered (not acceptable to me), including follow-ups when the hot water failed again. Cleanliness: Acceptable but poorly maintained, including an iron burn in the carpet, mold in the shower, and most TV channels not working. Property Condition: Poor. Dirty, worn stairwell carpet and general signs of neglect. Overall, several basic expectations were not met and communication was consistently poor. I'm also going to be reaching out directly to Expedia about this experience.

There was construction happening right outside the window until 2AM. I known that's not the hotels fault but people should know that if they stay there they will hear everything that happens around them, including conversations (and other things) happening the next room over.

Location good. Good value for money

It exactly as pictured. Everything you need for a stop over.
