Staff were polite but we didn't appreciate the offer of a "free upgrade" to a small, windowless room (117) because it had air-con fitted, wasn't needed with temperatures only reaching 20° - 22° and rain due. Room 207, a cottage room which was booked, had half of the full length mirror hidden behind a dressing table. It was fairly a large room with iron and ironing board and large TV, while the spacious bathroom had a good, hot shower, and plenty of accessories. The breakfast room was not big enough for the amount of customers with some having to sit in the foyer to eat. There is not enough room to navigate by other seated customers to get to the buffet area when others using the area are trying to get out. I felt sorry for the couple sat right there as people were queueing and squeezing through, right next to their table while they were eating. The breakfast was a 5/10. The scrambled eggs were truly awful. There were no mugs for hot drinks. Despite asking twice and a wait of 10 minutes, a member of staff bought out just one mug even though there was now a queue at the drinks machine !! The hotel is situated in a great spot for travel via public transport. There is a tram station and bus stops to the city centre, the Trafford Centre and other local places, all within a few minutes walk. Lancashire Cricket Club is about a 10 minute walk and Old Trafford Football Ground is about 20 minutes away. Despite the misgivings, we would stay here again, just for the location.

Room was clean but carpet a bit dirty not keen on the single beds put together to make a double. Breakfast was lovely and staff were amazing very helpful couldn't do enough for you. Very enjoyable stay Thank you

Very friendly, easy check in, easy to get to. £6 for parking at the hotel which is cheap compared to others we’ve stayed! The restaurant attached had unreal food, brilliant staff & fair priced. Cracking atmosphere. Close for the airport.Would recommend & definitely returning.

Fantastic two night stay whist going to the cricket at Old Trafford, a 10 minute walk away. Less than 5 min walk to tram stop for Salford Quays and the City centre. Spacious room with very comfy bed and excellent shower. Fan already set up and going when I arrived and room stayed a bearable heat considering 35° temps!! Had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent, good range of meals, great quality and very good value. Really good choices for breakfast too - very much enjoyed smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs and bacon. Saff very friendly and helpful - will definitely stay again!

Solid. Small room. Bed decent. No windows in the room. Air conditioning worked. Shower was ace. Breakfast okay. In a bit of an off the map area. But near a tram station. Bar shut at 10. Was quiet. Would stay again. Decent value if you can get it for £60-65
