Beautiful historic old fashioned Australian Hotel, very reasonable and ideal room with en-suite for sharing with my son for a hiking trip to the Blue Mountains. Great wholesome food in the restaurant and plenty of options nearby for food.

Pub has lots of character, nice beers on tap. Accommodation was exceptional value, room was good size with really high ceilings, beautiful big bay window (floor to ceiling), oversized circular wall mirror, comfortable mattress, clean and fresh bed linen, shared bathroom was clean and well maintained, secure parking (off street) behind the pub. Highly recommend this property, also has great location, a few minutes walk away from great cafes & restaurants in Blackheath. Only negative would be the noise from trucks on highway and train station across the road, but would happily stay again and take ear plugs next time.

Friendly bar and staff, slept well, big parking on the property. Easy access to sightseeing and walks around Blackheath.

This place is ideally located across from the train station and close to shops, and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and the shared bathroom cleaned daily. The bed had an electric blanket on it which would be great in winter, though I made use of a lighter blanket that was available instead as I am a hot sleeper. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that there is no aircon in the bedrooms while there is everywhere else - though a fan was provided, it didn't really do much.
