Good quiet location away from other large hotels and busy tourist areas, walking distance to trains and buses. Delicious buffet breakfast with many options, nice sized room, family onsen followed by popsicles and rooftop marshmallows were all great. Happily recommend.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Friendly staff. Note they only take cash for the tax at check in. The use of the private baths was fanastic and we didn't have to wait too long even at the busiest times. Note that they close earlier than stated for cleaning in the day. Our room was great and enjoyed the free green tea, ice creams and marshmallows in the lounge area. Good location quite near the station. Booked a massage, which was a fully clothed massage in my room. Thought the times for massages were quite late!

Travelled as a family of 4. We used family bath and public bath. Kids enjoyed the experience. Staff was really kind and patient with us and presented their services with exceptional professionalism. Room was very spacious and extremely clean. It was not noisy at all although Expedia mentioned noise. Some staff are multi lingual. We are English/Japanese bilingual family so didn’t need any translation but seemed very helpful with other foreign tourists. A bit more expensive than other hotels but we felt it was well worth the stays with so much more they have to offer and comfort that we have got.

Es un hotel bonito pero pequeño. Si tienes carro el estacionamiento es un poco incómodo y limitado. Los cuartos muy limpios y el staff muy atento y servicial.

We enjoyed our stay; staff were friendly and helpful, good room design. You get to pick up your pajamas at reception to wear to the spa and for a lot of people to the bar as well. Nice bar but no barman - pay at reception and get a token for drinks or use the vending machine, free marshmellows which you can toast over the outside fire. Separate male and female spas and 4 private spas - pick a quiet time at 3pm and you have the place to yourself. Good location, we walked everywhere. Great little coffee shop about 1 minute walk away that does great cheese toast.

Wat was a beautiful hotel set within walking distance from the old town section of Takayama. The staff were extremely friendly and the rooms were immaculate and spacious.
