Lovely staff, good location. Very tired decor in the rooms. And sadly you hear alot of noise from other rooms.

I stayed here a few months ago and I had hoped it had improved, however if anything it was worse. The bathrooms are something out the 1970s, the bath was marked with limescale and in the first room I was given the bath plug was almost impossible to get out and the bath was chipped. In that room the window was stuck open about 20cm and despite the efforts of a maintenance man it would not close. I asked for another room and despite being told that the hotel was full one was magically found. The bath in that room was marginally better except the bath taps were stuck with limescale and I found it very difficult to turn on and off the cold tap. The room was cold with, I suspect, ill fitting windows. I went down to breakfast at 7.15 am and most of the croissants had been taken. The fruit salad had already been put into individual bowls which was unusual. There was a limited choice for continental breakfast - a few cereals and bread- but they did have a choice of a cooked breakfast which I didn't want. The said they had porridge but I guessed it was the individual ones from the supermarket ones with various flavours. They have started charging for parking which had to be done at a machine that was faulty. I was not the last to check in and I was cross that the first room was so awful. There are very few other hotels in the area and I would like to be able to go back at some point unless I can find an alternative. I do not accept it is a 3 star hotel.

Stayed here 15 years ago and the place looks the same. New features like the breakfast room are a good addition. Rooms are a bit dated but low noise levels and the food was very good.

Lovely location but definitely in need of some upgrade. I had to change room as the TV was not working. The room they changed me to had a nice outlook over the golf course but once again, plug sockets are sparse and the socket next to the mirror is virtually unusable as it is too low so you cannot plug anything in. The bathroom was OK but the bath/shower had black mould around the sills. I stay here a lot but it is the location and not the hotel that makes me return which is such a shame

Lovely Staff.. Good buffet breakfast. Get there early and lots of choice. Clean. Well stocked bar. Beautiful grounds.

I stay regular for business, excellent value for money, spacious rooms, helpful staff and good breakfast and evening meal.

Very helpful arranging early breakfast.

Dated but reasonable for price. Clean room upgraded recommend because of ensuite. Breakfast was upgrade at extra cost but was reasonably good quality
