I loved Manta Ray Island Resort - especially my 6am coffees at the bar, watching the sunrise. The house reef is also lovely - the coral is somewhat recovering, but there are heaps of fish - including big edible fish that you rarely see elsewhere as it is a marine park.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mantaray Island Resort! We were in a Seaside Bure, only steps from the water and epic snorkeling- the best “house reef” snorkeling on the Yasawa Islands that we experienced. We enjoyed the snorkeling with manta rays and the delicious food. My only challenge was that some kind of bug ate the backs of my legs A LOT when I sat on the lounge chairs by the pool. One week later, I’m still struggling with those bites. I hope they replace those cushions soon- they were pretty worn out in addition to being infested. That certainly wouldn’t stop me from returning!

Really enjoyed my time here, despite the horrible weather in the first two days. Staff are very friendly and helpful, meals are delicious. The resort, beach and the reef nearby are so beautiful. We saw a few manta rays. The village tour is also amazing, highly recommend. Only area that needs improvement is staff should host more indoor activities when the weather is bad.

The Fijian people were wonderful! We spent only 3 nights as an add-on to a dive vacation so we snorkeled right off the beach and it was amazing! The reef was very healthy and saw plenty of fish, live soft coral and even a Crown of Thorns starfish. We stayed in the beachfront villa and was very happy with everything, the aircon, outdoor bathroom and the front deck. The only notable discomfort was the sharp tile around the shower. Food in the restaurant was very very good and with plenty of variety. Portions were generous the fresh drinking water was delicious. WIfi was good in most parts of the resort, but I was there to unplug. The stairs leading to the restaurant were a bit challenging when it was raining so wear shoes with good traction. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking to escape from the ratrace.

Stayed in a treehouse, deck was larger than I expected. Did not read carefully before booking about the mandatory food package, makes senses due to location, but food package was over priced for what you get. Cocktails 22-26fjd per drink, beer 11-12.50 fjd. Snorkeling was good. Would consider returning if meal package was cheaper, likely would not stay for more than 2-3 days.

Nice smaller resort that caters to lots of different budgets. Beautiful location. Amazing snorkeling right off beach- had some currents so better for bigger children. 3 days about right to stay here.

The listed ‘additional fee’ covers the compulsory full board meal package (breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily) fee collected at the property. Children aged 3 and under are not charged for meals. Fees are valid from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027. Boat transfers depart from Port Denarau daily at 8:30 AM and are operated by South Sea Cruises.
