Отлично Room was clean but constant sound of running water meant it sounded like heavy rain all night. Staff lovely and accommodating. Very central to local attractions. Would stay again but in a different room. Our friend travelling same dates/booking had a spacious room with view so I guess we were unlucky.

We had booked two rooms, one was a bit better than the other, however the rooms were dirty, you could tell the sheets were changed and the table was wiped, but the overall cleanliness wasn't good at all. Air-conditioning wasn't working great.
Staff were friendly and supportive, when asked for something.
We also got a rude intereption during the night from a random person, who knocked multiple times on the door at 4am. If there was a sign on reception to say how to contact manager, we wouldn't have been woken up as our room was right behind reception and the person was looking for the manager.
The hotel was over all noicy and you can hear people andovement.

Staff were all great and friendly, great location and food good. The bar needed stocking fully -kept running out.
Aircon unit was noisy so switched it off at night.

Positives - friendly, helpful staff, reasonably priced and well located on the lake. Breakfast was pretty good. The young guy on reception was particularly helpful and polite
Negatives - we had booked a delux room but as hotel busy, we were given a very poor room despite having pre advised the hotel it was our anniversary. Spoke to manager and paid for an upgrade to best room the following day which was much better
In summary, an average hotel in need of modernising/ refurbishment but ok overall as long as you're not expecting too much

Clean room, staff very friendly. Not many other people staying so they were right onto anything I asked. Enjoyed a great lunch in restaurant as well

Fantastic location. A bit of an uphill walk from town and steep stairs to hotel but very quiet. Lovely breakfast.

Lovely hotel, great food, a good mix of western and Sri Lankan. I caved and got pasta one night and it was fantastic. They had an issue with the hot water on the roof and had to go through my room to fix it, but set me up and made me comfortable in another room for a few hours. It was no problem and I definitely feel like they handled it well.
The top floor room is amazing. Huge and beautiful view. I'd love to add photos, but the upload tool isn't working on the app.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Viyana. We were there just one night but the staff are so friendly, chatty and attentive. We really loved the waiter. This is a great location for the Temple of the Tooth and for walking around the lake and also for going to the Culture Centre to see the Kandyan dancing.
The shower was hot and the air con was strong.

Lovely hotel right on the water staff as lovely tradition of lighting candles and nice welcome juice . Close enough to walk to where you need to go also good breakfast

I’m sorry to say that I was quite disappointed with this property considering the cost of it compares to the upper end hotels here in Kandy. The staff were helpful when needed and welcomed us with delicious juices, and the bed was the comfiest bed! However, the hotel itself feels empty and uninviting. There are no plants or fresh air, just lots of concrete. My room had a lot of black mould which made it smell, and the bathroom didn’t feel very clean (hairs in the sink and black mould all over shower tiles because of no ventilation). The bed sheets had holes in them and the mattresses had no cover. I can’t believe the price for the night and then finding the room like this.
