Property owner claimed he did not received any payment from Expedia, so insisted I leave unless I pay Rp 150000 per night for each of the 4 nights that I had already paid to Expedia for from 9.10.26 till 13.10.26, after his staff temporarily let me put up in the early wee morning, pending the tracking of my confirmation, since Oyo HQ admitted to system problem. By noon,my things were oust from the room upon my return. They claimed Expedia failed to pay them whatever I had paid to Expedia, hence I have no rights to stay unless I pay them cash directly. He said did not know who advertised his property in Expedia so was made a victim, as he has never received any payments from Expedia. At a moment, when I refused to agree to pay at Rp 150000 per night and chose to leave, I was offered to pay at only Rp 80000 per night. But when I said I will only stay for 2 nights then, he eventually insisted that I must at Rp 150000 per night instead. Having agreed to pay for a stay of 2 nights at a total of Rp 300000, I requested for an official receipt of payment but no proper official receipt was given. Then I asked the recipient staff to write down his full name with identity card number on the paper receipt he partially wrote, he shouted I must leave immediately, without the need to pay after I told him I wanted it as proof to report to Expedia that I had been made to pay cash to them, even if I had only stayed around 16 hours by then. Yes, I was forced to leave then. Luckil
