Chiang Mai Doi Inthanon & Elephant Sanctuary Full-Day Wildlife Tour

Money well spent. The communication with the guide, Mel, was clear and consistent since the eve, letting us know of any issue ans what to wear before the day. as soon as we were picked up, Mel engaged with us and started connecting. he explained the itinerary clearly and advised us throughout the way. there were sufficient toilet breaks and coffee breaks for the day which was very welcomed based on the itinerary. the explanation given by Mel at the elephant sanctuary and the other attractions was very thorough and you could see his passion for his job and his culture. you could see the difference with all the guides around who were very swift and light touched. Mel taught us some Thai words and advised us on our plans for the night. the attractions are great, you must come prepared either good shoes, anti mosquito and raincoats. interacting with elephants so closely and so intimately was a one time experience. the forest was mesmerising and the waterfall so refreshing and powerful

Nop was very knowledgeable and made sure our entire experience was comfortable and entertaining. We started with the elephant sanctuary and Nop knew SO much about elephants and their lifestyles. He also took us to Watchirathan falls, Twin Pagoda and Doi inthanon and the view throughout was surreal and Pon made sure he clicked pictures of us too. a must have experience in Chiang Mai. Since nobody else has booked along it was also kind of a private experience.

Nop was very kind and knowledgeable. He was insightful when it came to the elephants and showed us everything there was to know about the elephants. The staff at the sanctuary were very kind and helpful as well. The driver was great too, taking us to each location. We had a great day!

Nop being an excellent, lively and informatice tour guide made this trip easy and memorable! we all had lots of fun despite the bad weather! He is an excellent tour guide ensuring we are safe, we are satisfied and happy! I will definitely recommend and book this one again in the future!

Our guide Ronnie is humorous and enthusiastic. The itinerary is well planned, not overly physically taxing. We arrive at the elephant camp first in the morning and the summit of the mountain in the noon, and it’s cool and windy in the mountain (chill!). Wonderful view and adorable and intelligent elephants!

Overall it was an enjoyable itinerary. We were well taken care of with thoughtful touches such as toilet paper and umbrellas prepared for participants. The elephants were wonderful and we had plenty of time to engage with them. It was a shame that the weather was not the best at Doi Intanon and we could barely see the Pagodas due to low visibility. The drive was a little uncomfortable due to the driving style of the driver, he was careful but constantly braking while going downhill would affect passengers with motion sickness

Had a wonderful trip. The guide was very informative and explained things well. Most of the Elephants are rescued and we fed them, pet them, and bathed one. They seem to treat the elephants well. To get the one down to the river to bathe, they lured it with sugar cane and fed it in the river so it stayed. We spent a good amount of time with the elephants and then ate lunch before heading to Doi Inthanon. Lunch was Buffet style consisting of: rice, pad Thai, vegetables, fruit, chicken with potato curry/ Massaman, and chicken nuggets. It tasted good. Doi Inthanon was beautiful and we spent some time at several different areas. the Temperature was 13 Celsius at the very top. Throughout the trip we never felt rushed which was very nice.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on this day tour to Doi Inthanon and PON Elephant Thailand! Our tour guide, Paul, was exceptional—he arrived perfectly on time and gave us a very clear overview of the day's agenda. Throughout the trip, he shared fascinating insights into the history and origins of each destination, while ensuring we had plenty of time to fully enjoy the activities without feeling rushed. We also highly appreciated his thoughtfulness in preparing water, raincoats, and umbrellas for us just in case. The entire experience was worth every penny, and our driver was fantastic too, driving safely and smoothly the whole day. Highly recommended package!
