Universal Studios Hollywood Tips And Tricks For An Epic Day Out!

Universal Studios Hollywood is the FIRST ever Universal Studios Theme Park. What started out as a humble studio tour is now home to some of the best movie attractions around. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Minion Mayhem, Studio Tours, Jurassic Park the list of things to see and do is endless. Which sections should you visit first? Read on to find out!
The most important #KlookTip of all is to skip the ticketing lines. Why wait in line to buy admission tickets when you can pre-book yours online, saving you the hassle of waiting in line while everyone hurries into the park where all the fun is!
Pre-book your tickets on Klook and all you’ll need to do is flash your mobile e-voucher at the turnstiles and you can enter directly. Plus these tickets are open dated and valid on any day, giving you the flexibility to changes your plans if necessary.
If you’ve only got one day to conquer the park, be sure to get a Universal Studios Hollywood Express Pass if you’re visiting during high season( 25 May-2 Sep 2019 and 14-31 Dec 2019) . This will allow you to skip the lines to each ride, attraction and show giving you ample time to visit most attractions in the park.

The opening hours change daily so be sure to check out their operating hours before heading down. We’d advise you to arrive at least 30 minutes before the doors open as there are bag scans and security checks that you will need to go through before entering the park.
#KlookTip: If you are driving, you should set aside at least 45 minutes as the parking lots are a distance away from the entrance of the park.
You can choose to rent a stroller, wheelchair or an Electric Convenience Vehicle once you are inside the park. Head over to the lot across from the Universal Studios Store to pick one up. There are also nursing facilities available at the First Aid Stations.
If you’re travelling with little ones, they might not always be willing or able to take all the rides. The child switch program allows one member of your party to wait with the child while the rest ride. Once the rest are done with the ride, you can trade places and take your turn on the ride without queuing up again!
The park is divided into 2 sections, the Upper Lot and the Lower Lot. Do note that you’ll need at least 15 minutes to walk from the Upper Lot to the Lower Lot and vice versa so be sure to allocate sufficient time especially if you plan to catch the shows.

You can check out the waiting times of each ride and the showtimes of the live shows on the studio directory board. You will see this in 4 places: The Main entrance, the exit of the Studio Tour, the entrance of the starway, and exiting the starway.

Head over to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and catch the lovely Frog Choir! A group of Hogwarts Students belt out tunes accompanied by their croaking pet frogs.
Also held at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, cheer on your favourite representatives from Durmstrang, Beauxbatons and of course Hogwarts as they prepare for the highly anticipated Triwizard Tournament at the Triwizard Spirit Rally.
If you’re an animal lover, you’ll definitely have to make time for the spectacular Universal’s Animal Actors show. Watch in awe as the residents of Tinseltown perform some of their best tricks and animal antics. You’ll even spot some famous paws from movies like Evan Almighty and Night at the Museum.
If you’ve always wondered how movies were made, you’ll find the answers at the Special Effects Show. Learn the secrets behind space travel, horror scenes, physical combat scenes and more.
Plane crash, jet ski jumps, plunges into deep pools of water and even massive explosions - these are just some of the things you can expect at WaterWorld! These giant fireballs rise up to 50 feet in the air and is definitely something you can’t miss on your day here.
#KlookTip: Avoid sitting at the splash zones if you don’t want to get wet. We don’t mean sprinkles of water, we mean huge buckets dumped straight on you.
Step into the towering castle gates of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where your next adventure awaits. As you make your way to the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride, you’ll pass by the likes of Dumbledore’s Office, The Gryffindor Common room and more. Buckle up and get ready to soar above the castle grounds as you come face to face with dementors, spiders and more.

Ever wondered what it’s like flying around on a Hippogriff? Hop aboard this family friendly roller coaster - Flight of the Hippogriff and find out! Spiral around the pumpkin patch and swoop past Hagrid’s hut on this magical creature.
The Transformers 3D Ride is an epic experience that takes you into the middle of the war zone as you try to protect the Allspark from the Decepticons. Fight alongside Optimus Prime and get ready for some mind blowing action in this 3D thrill ride.
If you haven’t already heard, Gru is recruiting new Minions to be a part of the family! Go through Minion training in the Minion Mayhem ride held in his super villain laboratory and when things don’t go as planned you just might turn into an actual Minion, yellow skin and all.

Grab a seat on this virtual reality roller coaster ride with The Simpsons! Head on an adventure in Krustyland, the low budget theme park run by Krusty the Clown. The over the top adventure will have you squealing in delight.
Get ready to be catapulted into complete darkness at speeds of 45mph on The Revenge of the Mummyride. You’ll be greeting with unexpected twists, drops and turns as you try to escape the revenge.
If you’re feeling brave, step up and head into the AMC’s Walking Deadattraction. For the uninitiated, the Walking Dead is a critically acclaimed series that has been on air for 7 seasons! With special effects makeup and hidden artifacts from the actual series, prepare for yourselves for the zombie apocalypse you’ve always feared. Fight for your survival as you navigate through hungry walkers and iconic landscapes nightmares are made of.
Get in on all the action at the* Studio Tour* where you’ll go behind the scenes of iconic movies like JAWS and Psycho. Hop aboard the Universal trolley and head on a tour behind the sets of some of the most iconic Universal movies and tv shows. There is also a hyper realistic expansive Fast and Furious ride where you’ll feel as if you’re the one behind the wheel of a crazy car chase.
Another highlight is the intense King Kong 360 3D experience where you’ll be caught dead in the middle of the fight between a T-Rex and King Kong.
