The Klook Guide To Walt Disney World 2019
24 Jan 2019
Sure there’s Disney California Adventure in Los Angeles, and Disneysea in Tokyo, but nothing can come close to the experience you’ll get at Walt Disney World, Orlando. Featuring four theme parks, two water parks, over twenty hotel resorts, and ten-times more magic - they don’t call it the No.1 Theme Park in The World for nothing!
Dreams really come true here at Walt Disney World - but only with enough planning. With its incredible size, it’s quite impossible to just “wing it” at Disney World unless you’ve been more than a handful of times. So with that, let’s deep dive into everything you need to know about Disney World!
About Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, USA is not only the largest Disney theme park, but it also happens to be the largest theme park in the world as well. Taking over 25,000 acres of Floridian land, Walt Disney World is truly a universe of its own - with four parks, two water parks, several golf courses, and over 25 accommodations - all governed by none other than our buddy Mickey Mouse.
Averaging 52 million visitors a year, Walt Disney World has proven that you don’t have to be a Disney fan to enjoy its facilities. So what are you waiting for? Book your Disney World tickets and escape to the happiest place on earth!
Before you visit Disney World, be sure you’ve got an idea of what parks you’ll be visiting on certain days as they are about a 15-20 minute drive away from each other. Although the hours we’ve presented below are the official Disney World hours and schedule, the parks often have “Extra Magic Hours” so it’s best to check the dates of your trip on Disney World’s 5-Day Calendar.
After you’ve ironed out your itinerary for Disney World - it’s time to book your passes! Although you can purchase your passes directly from the Disney World website, Klook offers discounted Disney World tickets and as well as skip-the-line access!
You can choose from four different types of tickets from Klook, a 1-Day ticket, Multi-Day Magic Your Way ticket, Multi-Day Magic Your Way with Park Hopper ticket, and a Park Hopper Plus Water Park and More ticket!
Only got one day to enjoy Disney World? No problem! Klook offers two types of 1-Day Tickets for guests to maximize their stay the best way they know how. With the Flexible 1 Day Base Ticket, you use your ticket at any one day of your liking (as long as it is within ticket validity date) and enjoy one park of choice.
If you intend on visiting more than one park in one day, you can opt to purchase the 1-Day Ticket with Park Hopper Option instead! This ticket gives guests unlimited entry to all four theme parks for the entire day.
If your itinerary allows you to explore Disney World for more than a day, then the Multi-Day Magic Your Way Ticket might be the one for you! With this type of pass, you can choose from 2-10 days tickets depending on your itinerary. However, take note that the number of days you choose corresponds to the amount of visits you are allowed to take.
For instance, with a 2 Day Base Ticket, you are allowed to enter one theme park twice, or choose two theme parks to visit per day (ex. Day 1 - Animal Kingdom, Day 2 - Epcot OR Day 1 - Animal Kingdom, Day 2 - Animal Kingdom)
As this type of ticket is not a park hopper ticket, you are not allowed to visit more than one attraction per day. So choose your parks wisely!
With so much excitement going on in each theme park, we completely understand if you don’t want to stay in one park the entire day! So if you want to take on Epcot’s futuristic rides during the daytime, and watch Magic Kingdom’s fireworks show at night - this pass is for you!
Similar to the Multi-Day Magic Your Way Ticket, Klook also offers 2-10 day ticket options for those interested in purchasing the Multi-Day Magic Your Way with Park Hopper ticket. The only difference is that with the Multi-Day Magic Your way with Park Hopper ticket, guests are given unlimited entry to all four parks for all the dates they’ve chosen!
With this ticket, all you have to consider is how many days you’d want to spend park hopping. The tickets you can purchase on Klook are valid for 14 days starting from the first entry date. So if you’ve chosen, for example, a 5 Day Ticket, you are allowed to enter any of the four theme parks repeatedly for any five days within a 14 day period - be it consecutively or not.
The Park Hopper Plus Water Park and More ticket is similar to the Multi-Day Magic Your Way with Park Hopper ticket, but it allows you additional visits to Disney World’s water parks, sports complex, and golf courses! This type of ticket is a great option if you’re looking to experience more than just Disney’s theme parks.
So depending the ticket of your choice, the amount of days you have on your ticket corresponds to the amount of visits you are given to the water parks, sports complex, and golf courses. So if you’ve chosen the 3 Day Ticket with Park Hopper Plus Option - Water Park Fun & More, you get a 3 day park hopper ticket with unlimited entry to the four theme parks PLUS 3 visits to the water parks or other Walt Disney World fun parks listed below.
Best Time To Visit
As the Number 1 Theme Park In The World, “off-season” has become an alien term for Walt Disney World. That said, you can guarantee that weekends and holidays are packed with guests from all over the world, making it quite difficult to make your way through the theme park.
However, there are a couple weekends - and even holidays - that do not garner the same amount of volume of guests. To get an idea of when those dates would be, be sure to check this Disney World Crowd Calendar prior to booking your tickets!
Theme Parks of Walt Disney World
Featuring all your favorite Disney characters, the iconic Cinderella castle, and the most spectacular fireworks show, Magic Kingdom emits the true essence of Disney magic that both children and adults absolutely cannot miss.
Although often misconstrued as the “kiddiest” of all parks, Magic Kingdom is actually home to some of the most thrilling rides in the whole resort. So while you’re here, be sure to queue up for Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Peter Pan’s Flight! Other notable attractions include Pirates of the Caribbean, The Muppets Present, and It’s A Small World.
You don’t have to be a nature lover to enjoy all that Animal Kingdom offers! With a Kilimanjaro Safari, a nighttime tour of the World of Avatar, and 250 animal species in between - there’s a little something for everyone in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Trust us when we say that one day is not enough to explore Animal Kingdom. Although attractions like the Avatar: Flight of Passage, Festival of the Lion King, and the Maharajah Jungle Trek are on the unmissable list, admiring the park’s thematic execution is also something you should take time to do.
Travel back in time to Hollywood’s heyday at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and experience your favorite Disney films come to life! Home to some of Disney World’s greatest attractions, such as “Lights, Motor, Action” and “Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster”, this theme park is one you’re sure to enjoy - film buff or not!
A trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is incomplete without an experience on the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! Both attractions are so fun, you might find yourself queuing up for a second, or even third, time!
Although this park offers fewer attractions as compared to any other park in the resort, the fun is endless on this side of Lake Buena Vista! Epcot - or the theme park with the huge golf ball - is split into two sections: Future World and the World Showcase.
The latter features 11 destination-specific pavilions such as Germany, Italy, and China, where guests can eat and drink to their heart’s content. And if you move over to The Future World, rides like Soarin’, MISSION: SPACE, and Test Track are bound to take you forward in time. So if you hear somebody say that Disney is for kids, redirect them to Epcot and they’re sure to change their minds.
Disney World Water Parks
A ski resort in the middle of Florida? Disney explains that a blizzard in Florida gave the opportunity for entrepreneurs to create the first ski resort in the area, however once it had opened to the public, most of the snow had melted out.
So instead of packing up your snow boots, be sure to bring your swimsuits so you can enjoy rides like Summit Planet, Slush Gusher, Purple Slop, Downhill Double Dipper, Toboggan Racers and Snow Stormers!
Disney takes the theme “Typhoon aftermath” to a whole new level! Apart from its awesome slides and toboggans like the Crush ‘N’ Gusher and Humunga, the water park features debris from a typhoon - including a shipwrecked shrimp boat on top of a volcanic mountain that erupts every half hour!
For those who don’t know, a FastPass+ System is a reservation system at Disney World applicable to use on most attractions. So instead of waiting in line for your favorite rides and attractions, you can avail of Fast Passes and get redirected to a line with shorter waiting time. Fast Passes are free with admission tickets, however, there are a limited quantity per day.
If you’re staying at any Disney Resort Hotel, you are allowed to book your FastPass+ online up to 60 days in advance. However, if you only hold an admission ticket to Disney World, you may start booking a FastPass+ a month prior your trip. Do note that only three attraction reservations are allowed per park day.
For your FastPass+ reservations, guests are only given a one-hour window for each attraction. So if your reservation is at 3:00 PM, you have until 4:00 PM to validate your reservation at the FP+ Return entrance of the attraction you intend to ride.

If you’re looking to shop and dine, there’s no better place to visit than Disney Springs. Formerly known as Downtown Disney, this popular entertainment complex features an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants - with a touch of Disney’s magic, nonetheless!
As the complex is located within the Walt Disney World Resort, you can still expect a handful of Disney-themed shops and restaurants here and there. However, this outdoor entertainment complex also features many of the country’s popular stores and restaurants such as Anthropologie and Wolfgang Puck. Click here for the full list of shops and restaurants located in Disney Springs.
You can also expect Disney Springs to offer live entertainment all around the area! From concerts at the House of Blues, to a Gatsby-inspired performance at The Edison, click here for all of Disney Springs’ scheduled events and entertainment.

What To Eat
If you don’t mind spending extra for the food experience at Disney World, then you’ll love the six-course meal over at Victoria & Albert at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa! However, if you think a six-course might be just a little too much, the Yacht Club Resort’s comfort food classics, including a delectable lobster roll, and Nothing But The Kitchen Sink, are absolutely to die for!
Apart from Disney Hotel and Resorts, foodies can always count on Epcot to delivery a culinary experience like no other. So take yourself on a food walk through Epcot’s Pavilions and be sure to try the Tarte aux Fraises at the France Pavilion, the Karamell Filled Cookie at the Germany Pavilion, and Troll Horn at the Norway Pavilion!
Disney is notorious for its pricer street food selection, but we highly recommend moving the budget around for the Mickey Premium Bar, Dole Whip, Turkey Leg and the* Bacon Macaroni Hot Dog*! The Disney experience is truly not complete without these.

How To Get To and Around Disney World
The best way to get around Walt Disney World Resort is by renting out a car, most especially if you are planning to be in Orlando for more than two days. Though there are ride hailing services like Uber and Lyft available in the area, this is still a pricier option considering that each theme park is around 10 to 15 minutes from each other.
You can also save on transportation if you are a guest at select Disney Resort hotels. Those mentioned prior all have access to Disney Transport - a scheduled transport service that Disney World Resort guests can avail of for free to travel all throughout the resort via bus or water taxi.
