Disneyland California tickets

There are 2 theme parks in Anaheim - Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. If you can’t decide which to visit, we’d suggest getting the park hopper which allows you to visit both parks in a day! If you wish to visit BOTH parks across different days, which we definitely recommend, you can simply purchase the multi day admission tickets!

#Klooktip: Naturally queues are expected at the world’s first ever Disneyland. Pre-book your tickets on Klook to skip the queues - all you need to do is flash your mobile voucher at the turnstiles and enter the park directly!

Did we also mention Disney California tickets on Klook are open-dated? This means you can visit on any day within the validity period of your ticket, so you you won’t have to worry about bad weather foiling your plans. For the best experience, be sure to check out the crowd calendar before you purchase your ticket..

When to visit Disneyland California

There are 3 different seasons - peak, regular and value. The value season is when demand is lowest and hence, the park will be significantly less crowded. You can definitely expect larger crowds on weekends and during the summer holidays from June to July so do avoid those months if you can!

#Klooktip: Visit on weekdays (Mondays to Thursdays) whenever you can, chances are you’ll have significantly shorter lines for rides!

Disneyland California opening hours

The opening hours for the park differs daily so be sure to check out the park hours on the official website before heading down! There are also extra magic hours for those staying at nearby Disneyland hotels so be sure to check if your hotel offers that. This will allow you to enter the park earlier than everyone else!

Disney Fastpass and Maxpass

Now that you’ve got your tickets all sorted, an essential part of your Disneyland game plan is the use of the Disney FASTPASS. These are special tickets for selected rides that allow you to come back at a stipulated time to take the ride. There are special FASTPASS queues that only ticket holders will have access to. You will just need to head to the ride, scan your ticket at the fastpass machine and take a printout of the ticket with the time printed and return during that time slot.

Your next Fastpass will be available (roughly) the earlier of: 2 hours following when you got your Fastpass OR when your next Fastpass window opens. These are the rides you can use your FASTPASS on:

  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
  • Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
  • Fantasmic!
  • Haunted Mansion
  • Haunted Mansion Holiday
  • Indiana Jones™ Adventure
  • “it’s a small world”
  • “it’s a small world” Holiday

The Disney MaxPass allows you to make Disney FASTPASS selections on your Disneyland App as well as download and share pictures with unlimited downloads from all Disney Photopass photographers, magic shots, attractions, Character greetings etc. You will need to purchase this as an addon to your ticket and you can do so through the Disneyland Mobile App once they enter either theme park.

#Klooktip: Download the official Disneyland app even if you’re not getting a MaxPass. You’ll be able to check attraction wait times, make dining reservations and even order your food ahead of time. You can also locate nearby characters and get ready for selfies with them!

Disneyland California parade

The Pixar Play Parade celebrates all of your favorite Pixar characters and this runs twice a day in Disneyland. The parade is a huge crowd favourite and many even camp up to 1.5 to 2 hours in advance for a good seat. Some of the best viewing spots include:

  • Main Street U.S.A
  • Close to It’s a Small World
  • On the side of Alice in Wonderland
  • Near the Disneyland Hub

P.S. This is a special water parade so you might get wet!

#Klooktip: Pack a blanket and some snacks for you to sit in comfort while waiting for the start of the parade!

Disneyland California fireworks

The “Remember… Dreams Come True” fireworks show is a must do for all. Of course the top location is right in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle, but of course you can expect that area to be extremely popular. This spot fills up really quickly with people lining up at least 2 hours in advance.

#Klooktip: The side closer to Tomorrowland will offer better and more symmetrical pictures than the side of Frontierland.
