What is Taipei Unlimited Fun Pass?

The Taipei Unlimited Fun Pass combines attractions and transportation to give you a fuss-free way to sightsee across and around the city. You can get one-time access to up to 12 different attractions and unlimited travel all over Taipei, New Taipei and Keelung cities. There’s an option for one-day, two-day or three-day pass. 1. Taipei 101

Once known as the world’s tallest structure, the Taipei 101 is a must-visit at the Taiwanese capital. You can soar up to the 89th floor with the world fastest elevator and take in the amazing 360-degree views of Taipei. On a clear day, you’ll be rewarded with views all the way down to the Taiwan straits and the mountainous silhouette in the background.

Opening hours: Daily 9am to 10pm (last entry at 9:15pm)

2. National Palace Museum

Surrounded by the hills and lush greenery, the National Palace Museum in Taipei is a cultural and historical treasure trove. With collections of relics, artifacts, fine arts and more spanning almost 8,000 years, it’s no wonder many visitors enjoy exploring this museum.

Opening hours: Sunday to Thursday 8:30am to 6:30pm | Friday & Saturday 8:30am to 9pm

3. Main Building of Chiang Kai-Shek Shilin Residence

The Shilin Official Residence was once a home to Chiang Kai-shek and his wife Soong Mei-ling, important political figures a few decades ago. Now a historical site, guests can take a look into how they lived and where they entertained their guests in the residence.

Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday 9:30am to 12pm (last entry at 11:40am) and 1:30pm to 5pm (last entry at 4:40pm)

4. Miramar Entertainment Park Ferris Wheel

An entertainment zone within a shopping mall in Zhongshan District, the Miramar Entertainment Park is mostly known for its glittering, massive ferris wheel. Lighting up the sky in its 95-meter-high glory, the view from the ferris wheel is just as stunning as from the ground.

5. Taipei Children’s Amusement Park

Located near the popular Shilin Night Market, the Taipei Children’s Amusement Park is one of the newer attractions in the city. The go-to place for a fun day with the family, there are 13 carnival attractions in the amusement park from a large ferris wheel to roller coaster, bumper cars and more.

6. Tamsui Historical Museum

Gain entry to Fort San Domingo, Tamsui Customs Officer’s Residence and Huwei Fort of the Tamsui Historical Museum with the Taipei Unlimited Fun Pass. Not so much a museum but rather a cluster of cultural heritage sites in Tamsui, the old world charm of the attractions is one to remember.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9:30am to 4:30pm | Saturday & Sunday 9:30am to 5:30pm | Closed on first Monday every month

7. Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf

One of the top attractions in Taiwan, the Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf is a scenic spot with beautiful sunsets, delicious seafood, and an array of shops. Enjoy a roundtrip cruise with your Taipei Fun Pass and take in the views of the Lover Bridge of Tamsui and sights surrounding the Tamsui River.

Sailing time: Wednesday to Sunday 12pm to 6:20pm (Sailings can be affected by the weather. Check the official website before setting out)

8. Gold Museum

Formerly the office of a mining company, the Gold Museum is now an open-air museum consisting of several buildings and sites. Guests can roam around and learn about the mining history. With the Taipei Unlimited Fun Pass, you can gain free entry to Japanese Style Residence, the Environmental Building, Gold Refining Building, Jin-shui Special Exhibition Hall, and Gold Building.

9. Yehliu Geopark

One of northern Taiwan’s prime destinations, Yehliu Geopark is home to a large number of unique geological formations and naturally-carved stone statues. From Queen’s Head to Cute Princess, Tofu Rock, Fairy’s Shoe, and more, the name of the attractions are as exciting as the sights. No wonder this beautiful coastline is on the top of many visitors’ must-visit list!

10. Juming Museum

Named after a renowned Taiwanese artist, Ju Ming, the museum celebrates his art works in all forms. In both the indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces, you can also find art from other artists who have impacted and inspired Ju Ming, as well as those who were inspired by him.

Opening hours: May to October 10am to 6pm (last entry at 5pm) | November to April 10am to 5pm (last entry at 4pm) Closed every Monday except on National Holidays, closed for 10 to 20 days before Lunar New Year. Please check that Juming Museum is open before heading out.

11. Sky Lantern Police Station

It’s easy to spot the attraction from afar with its 9-meter-tall sky lantern-shaped glass structure lit up by almost 200,000 LED lights. Get an Electric Sky Lantern ticket with your Taipei Unlimited Fun Pass so you can make your wishes and set it free!

12. National Museum of Marine Science & Technology

A marine educational and recreational park devoted to sustaining the ocean life, the National Museum of Marine Science & Technology is also sharing its knowledge and passion with the public. Creating exhibitive and recreational environments for people to learn and love the ocean, it’s a great way to understand and help the undersea world.

Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday 9am to 5pm (last entry at 4pm) | Saturday & Sunday 9am to 6pm (last entry at 5pm) Closed on Mondays and Chinese New Year's Eve. Open on national holidays.
