This is the best way to tour the beautiful sights around Geraldton: a day tour that takes you on a flight over the stunning Hutt Lagoon, better known as the Pink Lake, before you go exploring around the Abrolhos Islands. You will meet up with your English speaking tour guide at the Geraldton Air Charter office. From here, you'll climb into a charter plane and soar over the gorgeous lagoon, which changes color from red to bubblegum, to even purple, depending on the season. You'll be flying two circuits around this area, making sure you get the best photographs before you head to East Wallabi Island, the first of your explorations into the Abrolhos Islands. Before you land down, you'll see the Bratavia Shipwreck Site, with its Morning Reefs, Long Island, Beacon Island, and more. Once on the island, you'll enjoy seeing the natural wonders and sights in the area, starting with Turtle Bay, aptly named for being a location where turtles in the region tend to gather and lay eggs on the shores. You can splash around the beach, enjoy the sun before you have morning tea time, so you're fortified for your coming nature walk. Here you'll learn about local flora and fauna, particularly the wallabies (a local marsupial similar to a kangaroo) lizards, and even a glimpse to a sea eagle's nest. After lunch you can get your swimming gear out as you'll be snorkeling among the incredible corals around the island, seeing schools of fish and many species of underwater marine life. Then it's time to head back as you leave the beach to fly once again over either the Abrolhos Islands or the Pink Lake and arrive back at the Geraldton Air Charter office.
