This year’s theme, Toyotomi’s Legacy: A Dream to Unite Japan, transforms the majestic Osaka Castle into a dreamscape where history, fantasy, and light converge. Toyotomi Hideyoshi dreamed of uniting Japan, yet it was Tokugawa Ieyasu who brought centuries of peace. That unfinished dream now glows once more—reborn in dazzling light.
• New for 2025: The Lantern Corridor Step into the year’s most breathtaking highlight—66 glowing lanterns standing in solemn rows, representing the 66 provinces once ruled by samurai warlords. Walking this radiant path is like journeying through history itself: serene, immersive, and unforgettable. It’s more than illumination—it’s a cultural experience where light carries the weight of memory.
• Guardians of the Dream Encounter life-sized illuminated warriors—Kato Kiyomasa, Sanada Yukimura, Ishida Mitsunari, Maeda Toshiie, and more—samurai generals who shaped the fate of Toyotomi’s dream. Their armour gleams in the night, inviting you into a living story of ambition, loyalty, and legend.
