What To Expect

Enjoy a truly authentic cultural experience touring Varanasi as you hop onto a pedal rickshaw with your English speaking guide. Upon meeting your guide, you'll get on the pedal rickshaw and head to Kunj Gali, a truly diverse marketplace and one of the oldest in the city. Full of items, from textiles to spices and more, it's a colorful sight to see and experience first hand, with the bustle of people surrounding you. Then it's time for a treat: you head through Kachori Gali and try the hot Kachodis, which a highly popular stuffed pastry that's deep fried, with a savory sauce to go with it. Through an exploration of the Kalika and Vishwanath Galli areas, you'll see a multitude of enterprises, small shops selling all sorts of items. It's a charming local business district in and of itself, letting you see how daily life happens. You then head to the Manikarnika Ghat, a majestic set of steps leading down to the sacred River Ganges, where you can observe the locals at worship or performing traditional rituals. Then it's time to observe some incredible architecture, such as the St. Thomas Church, and the fascinating Jantar Mantar, which is a set of old astronomical tools. Your tour will round off with you getting to watch the local rituals at the Dashwamedh Ghat, where you'll get a real feel of local spirituality.
