- By train: Approximately 25 minutes by bus from the Agatsuma Line Manza-Kazawaguchi Station.
- By car: 30 km from the Joshin-etsu Expressway Usui-Karuizawa I.C. via Naka-Karuizawa and the Onioshidashi Highway (45 minutes under normal conditions), or 35 km from the Komoro I.C. via Naka-Karuizawa and the Onioshidashi Highway (50 minutes under normal conditions).

interesting and easy to go especially finding the description of each rock to fit the image but the timing for the bus is too far apart during my travel so i had to take taxi to and fro which is around $100sgd.

very unique landscape and enough signs in English to navigate around. Try come early in the morning around 10am before the tour buses.

- A very rare spot where a magnificent lava zone spreads out before your eyes!
- There are courses such as the alpine plant observation course and the Okunoin approach, and you can also observe seasonal flowers.
- Also, if the weather is clear, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Northern Alps, the Tanigawa mountain range, and Mt. Nikko Nantai, so you're sure to feel refreshed!
- Full of highlights such as the central plateau with many large, strangely shaped rocks that easily exceed human height, and the "Mt. Asama Kannon-do Hall" for memorializing spirits!
