opposite Beitou MRT, easy to find. The teacher, ah Yah is a very sweet and gentle lady. She patiently helped me to pick my Hanfu and she give good recommendations too. Next, she guide me to select the suitable accessories for my costume (different accessories for different dynasty costumes), it’s fun. Last touch, a cute red tattoo on my forehead. Nice touch! After that we are into photo shoot with our own phone. She will guide us how to pose and smile. Very professional. After which, we are into learning the Guzhen. Ah yah is so patient from guiding us on how to attach the nails to our fingers to picking the strings and learning the cords. The process is simple and fun (even for anyone with no music background). She taught us a simple song. We practise and everyone managed to plan it on our own. Lastly, she helped to film us playing the Guzhen in our hanfu. Highly recommended. Such culture exchange experience and memory is precious and long lasting. Thank you Ah Yah! ㊗️😊
Teacher is beautiful, so patient and helpful with students not only for Guzheng teaching but also for picture taking. We all learned a song today and have great experiences here, 3 people is max for a class. There are more than 5 styles of clothes can choose, if you have a foreign friend come to visit Taiwan, you can also suggest them to join this event, this will be a cool and unforgettable experience for them.
I’ve booked many experiences on Klook, but this is by far the most worthwhile one I’ve had. The instructor helped me change into ancient clothing and allowed me to choose my favorite color. She felt like a friend; I never felt intimidated, even though I’m quite an introvert. She gave me plenty of time for photos and videos, making sure my poses and angles were perfect—you can see from my pictures how wonderfully they turned out! Since I was the only one there at the time, she even helped me capture a video of myself playing the instrument. She was incredibly patient and attentive while teaching me. If you are ever in Taipei, you must book a session. It is absolutely worth it!
The instructor provides many beautiful clothing, wig, and accessory options, and even guides you on taking gorgeous photos! It's even better than I imagined a Hanfu experience would be! Plus, there are so many guzheng to choose from, and the instructor will select one that suits your look for the day. Most importantly, the instructor's teaching method is very simple and easy to understand, making it easy for beginners to get started! ♪(*^^)o∀*∀o(^^*)♪
充實的古風體驗👍 Pros: -Diverse clothing styles and accessible items with simple hairstyles. I received over a hundred photos with various poses and props. -Customized enrichment and relaxation experience with instrument learning levels. -Actually learn to play! The teacher provided clear, patient instruction and answered all my questions about music and culture. -The schedule was well-structured, including time for changing clothes, photography, Guzheng learning, and practice, all within an hour. Cons: -It’s a bit remote from the city center, though close to MRT Beitou Station. Consider visiting Yangmingshan or Tamsui for a 1 day trip.
I couldn't speak Chinese, so I spoke in English, but the teacher kindly explained things in English, so I had no trouble taking the class. Even though I wasn't good at English, I didn't have any trouble taking the class, which was nice! Above all, I like that you taught me about musical instruments in a very friendly and fun way. The names of the gye were easy to learn, and I learned them quickly and played Arirang. We went as a group of three, so we played together. It was even better because I was able to learn one traditional music piece in just one hour 👍. Even when experiencing traditional clothing, please carefully recommend clothing and do your hair. They took pictures and videos while we were playing, so it became a good memory 😀. It was easy to find the lecture location because it was visible right after getting off at Beitou Station! You have to go into the store to go up to the second floor, so you can meet the teacher at the store on the first floor and go up together.
the instructor is super friendly!! she's a great teacher and is very encouraging. the dresses were very pretty and she even helped with my hair! she helps you pose and takes some photos, which is great. the zither is also really cool! she gives you some finger picks to wear so it doesn't hurt your fingers at all! really enjoyed my experience! def recommend
We had a very pleasant experience with Aya. The photoshoot was fun and even after we felt like giving up after hearing what kind of song we should be able to play with only an hour of practice, she stayed resilient and encouraged us through our learning process while taking even more pictures for us. At the end of our lesson we filmed playing the song successfully and we even got to know that she cannot just play the guzheng but also the koto.
You can learn to play on your own in a short amount of time, and you can also dress up and take beautiful photos. The classroom has many small props for taking pictures, which is great. Thank you very much for the teacher's guidance! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Aya, the music instructor, gave us the most wonderful experience we could have hoped for! We never had a music lesson in our life and she coached us so well. When we arrived, we got to dress up in a hanfu. There were multiple hanfu’s from different dynastic era’s. After dressing up including hair accessories, a fan and a facial sticker, it was time for the photoshoot. We looked so lovely and she made a lot of pictures, telling us what pose we had to do. Now the music lesson started, we put on the “nails” and she explained there are 5 tones, do re mi so la. The middle of the 21 strings was the do string and the green ones the so strings. She had a lot of patience and made awesome videos. This money was absolutely worth it!!
