Celebrate the coming of the Thai New Year like a local and embark on a tour that takes you through traditional Songkran festivities! Start your day bright and early when you meet up with your guide and the rest of the tour group by the Klook sign at Century Mall, and soon enough you'll be off to visit Wat Arun. The stunning temple boasts of a design unlike other ancient temples in Bangkok and is known to have the tallest temple tower at about 80 meters high! At Wat Arun, immerse yourself in traditional rituals like carrying sand into the temples and forming your own sand pagodas. Here, you'll also witness monks perform bathing rituals on Buddha statues around the temple. Within temple grounds, you'll find a number of merit making activities, which the locals believe will bring good karma to those who perform it - feed fish, release birds, or set turtles free and keep your fingers crossed for luck that comes your way! Your next stop in the tour is a trip to Wang Lang Market via ferry, and as soon as you reach the area, take a quick lunch break to try the different street food and snacks at the market. After lunch, the real festivities begin! Make your way to Silom Road and hop on a tuk tuk - don't forget to ready your gear (water guns, water bottles, and more) as you embark on what could probably be the wettest and most adventurous tuk tuk ride you'll ever have! Taking part in the water battle is a great way to meet new people from all over the world. Spend as much time at Silom Road as you like, and head back to your hotel on your own once you've had your fill of festivities.
