Reviews
We had a wonderful experience renting hanbok at Oneday Hanbok! The whole process was smooth and well-organized, with a wide variety of beautiful hanbok styles to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful, making it easy to find the right fit and style. Wearing hanbok while exploring Gyeongbokgung made the visit even more special and memorable. It’s a great way to fully experience the historical atmosphere and take amazing photos. Booking through Klook was simple and convenient, which made everything hassle-free. Overall, a highly recommended experience for anyone visiting Seoul!
This experience was incredibly satisfying! I can only think of positives right now. The location is super close, right next to Gyeongbokgung Palace! I purchased the four-hour experience, and the time started counting only after I had selected my hanbok and my hair was done! They never rushed me throughout the process, giving me plenty of time to slowly choose the styles I liked. After I made my selections, the staff helped me put everything on. There were Taiwanese staff members, so communication was seamless, and they were also excellent at color coordination and style matching! All their recommendations were perfect. Normally, a hoop skirt is added to make the hanbok skirt voluminous. I chose to wear a traditional hanbok, and the hoop skirt felt a bit unnatural, so I opted not to wear it in the end—it still looked great! The complimentary handbag is genuinely functional, so I put all my valuables in it and took it with me for photos. The braided hairstyle and hair accessories were also styled by the staff on-site. However, they don't provide hairspray, only bobby pins. If your hair tends to get frizzy after styling, you might want to bring your own hair products. They do have curling irons available!
Easy to redeem. No need to arrive earlier than your appointment time, they won't entertain if yoh are too early (happen to the group before us but had later slots). Orientation given in either korean, english or mandarin fluently. can take your time to choose dress but get very crowded in the earlier slot (of cos earlier will have more choices). Some staffs have average service attitude but 1 of them was very stern and fierce in giving instructions. 2 chances to choose your dress? however 2nd try would be your final decision already. Not like u cam try twice then have the final decision to go bavk to the 1st dress (that would be 3rd attempt). our appt is 9.30am (supposed to be 2nd group but there is already alot of ppl, maybe 5 groups of 2. We return the dress around 1pm+, the shop is empty. on and off there is ppl returning dresses but no one is choosing (would be better if u prefer to choose alone). tourist generally choose early, some worn until night. if intending to wear light colours, please wear light coloured bra straps or strapless as the colours would be obvious. hairdo is very fast and simple, within 3 to 5mins. expect no smiles, "thank you", "goodbyes" nor friendly eye contact in general. overall expeprience still great to take pictures.
The reception staff are Hong Kong and Taiwanese, and they can speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and English without any problem. The staff will help measure the size. Guests have to choose the color they like in a row according to their size. There are fewer choices than expected, but There is a restroom in the store. The staff will remind you that it will be inconvenient to go to the restroom after changing. The staff will help during the dressing process. There is only one style of braiding provided, but you can use the hair accessories provided in the store. You need to keep a passport for deposit. It takes about 1-1.5 hours from selection to leaving the store. The rental time is calculated from the moment you leave the store. 4 hours is quite enough. It only takes 10 minutes to walk from the store to Changdeokgung Palace, which is very convenient.
Staffs are friendly, can speak English & Mandrain.. Shop is very near to palace. 4 hours start to time after put on costume with simple hair done, value for money !
very nice place, even though we mistook the time and came half and hour late everybody was super nice about it (Dont do it on purpose though 😅). higly reccomend
The clothes are beautiful! When walking on the street, compared with other stores, I feel like I am better than 70% of the hanbok stores! Go early to have a better selection of clothes, so remember to wear light-colored or skin-colored underwear! There are two opportunities to choose, and I will help tie my hair, which has a high CP value! Renting for 4 hours is about the same, renting for one day is a bit too long and too tiring. Wearing hanbok and going to the historical sites is free of charge! You can leave your bags in the store for safekeeping, and the time starts from the time you confirm and go out! A passport or cash is required as security. The only drawback is that there are no lockable lockers
Took us awhile to find the shop. To locate, it's just next to the traffic light, across the Palace. The stairs entrance right next to the convenient store. Super patience and helpful young staff. Accessories are free to borrow and use. Wide range to choose from. Will recommend to friends
We changed the hanbok rental to the next day due to raining and the shop has allowed. The Hanbok staff are friendly and helpful but strictly limited trying 2 times of hanbok and quite limited matching top that suits our choice of hanbok dress so end up I chose the top that I like and then only the Hanbok dress. However, the free hairstyle provided are typically only 2 types and not really meet our expectations hence we let go our hair end of the day.
The place was nice and easily to locate near the palace. They were only three staffs but the service was efficiently fast 👍🏻
