Skiing and Playing in the Snow The children wanted to play in the snow and decided to go to Shenzhen on Saturday and return to Hong Kong on Sunday. In order to have fun for two days and save time, we stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel, which is only a few minutes' walk from Karoo Ice World. My parents-in-law didn’t know much about skiing, so we found an instructor early in the morning. Use WeChat to book a Cantonese coach and make sure there is a coach who pays for the course first. On the first day, two children learned snowboarding with a one-to-one coach, and each learned for two hours. In the middle and late stages of the course, the instructor has already taken the children to slide down from the top of the snow track. 😅I don’t usually do any exercise, so I feel tired after studying for two hours. After that, go to the hotel to check in, go shopping, and hunt for wild food. On the second day, the eldest boy continued to learn snowboarding, while the younger girl switched to double boarding. Still 1 on 1 Cantonese coaching, two hours of learning. Since the older boy had already learned to snowboard the day before, he skied on the snow track from the beginning and the instructor taught him other techniques. My daughter is new to skiing. The instructor first taught her the skills on a small slope. At the end of the first hour, she took her to the ski slopes. Both coaches were with me throughout the entire skating process, which gave me a sense of security. Both children had so much fun skating and felt a sense of accomplishment. After studying for two hours, I took a break and played "Snow Fun". Children think "entertaining in the snow" is a lot of fun. Burying in the snow, playing on slides, pretending to watch the Northern Lights, pulling a snowmobile... From a child's perspective, there are many facilities to play with. Karoo's snow entertainment area and ski area are in the same venue. We wanted to watch girls skiing, so we bought a snow entertainment ticket and went to see it nearby. If you don’t want to watch skiing, you can leave your children to the instructor and the parents will wait in the lobby without paying admission fees. There are also staff on both sides of the ski slopes in the high, middle and lower sections to maintain order and provide assistance. At the top of the snow track, the staff controls the number of people sliding down each time, so that people will not slide down and bump into each other. In the middle of the snow trail, someone fell down and couldn't get up, so the staff helped him get up. The snow path is low, so the staff drove away people who had finished skiing and took pictures to keep the snow path open. These arrangements make me feel reassured that children’s skiing safety is guaranteed. There are many young children playing in the snow in the snow entertainment area, and there are also staff inside to maintain order and prevent skiers from skiing in the area. I don’t know the explanation, but there were skiers going to the snow entertainment area to ski, and I saw a ski almost hit a child. I was really shocked, but luckily the staff saw it and stopped it. All in all, I feel good and the children also want to go to Karoo again and look forward to next time.
Fun, but confusing queues. When I arrived, I had a message and asked for information about the snack bar. It was too busy and sold out. After waiting for an hour, all the groups I saw were allowed to enter, and I just changed the QR code to enter, instead of entering according to the order of admission. If you are in line to enter the gate, and you don’t have a ski shirt, the time will still pass when you enter, and you will be at the bottom. In short, his policy is to change orders every day, with the group taking the lead. It’s just rowing and rowing all day long. Although it is really super invincible to enter with multiple people, it is still fun, and the children have a great time.
It’s a good deal to ski in the night session as the price is cheaper and there are generally less people in the park. But it was dark everywhere else except the ski place
Takes longer than expected to get the QR code for entrance, it takes maybe about 2 hours for me. Other than that, the experience is fine. The place is good for kids n beginners
The experience surpassed our expectations. Went with our family of two adults and two kids, and we all had a blast. Really nice that they provide snow boots and snow jacket. Lots to do outside of the snow complex as well like amusement park, which is pay per ride.
Two hours of entertainment in the snow are so much fun! It's so close to the Hard Rock Hotel, which is about ten minutes walk away. There are not many people even with the QR code at the entrance. It's not a good place to go, but it's a good place for beginners to play with children. It's snowing and it's not too cold. There's a greenhouse and snacks for sale. My snow clothes are all clean. At least the ones I wear on the floor don’t smell. It turns out there are a lot of people selling gloves and snowman doll clips outside Lemen. I don’t want to wash them and go to the mall to buy them. The gloves and snow clippers sold here are not too expensive. The Le store sells gloves for $25-35 and snow clips for $10. They are all considered affordable! Next time if you are older, you can go skiing! Remember to change your clothes and leave early when the alarm clock expires. After playing in Xuezhong, you can go to the amusement park to play! Everything costs $15-30, which is considered a bargain! The most unexpected thing is that there is a walking bicycle in the air! Exclusive $107 for the Year of the Dragon!
The snow park is quite large, featuring a very long ice slide. The environment inside is sufficiently cold, and there's plenty of snow. The admission fee includes a snow jacket and pants, as well as snow boots and free lockers. You only need to bring your own gloves, but there's also a shop on-site where you can buy them. The jacket and pants are relatively clean, but the snow boots are quite worn, with some damage and odor. Overall, it's a good experience, and we had a lot of fun.
It’s my first time to play in the snow entertainment area with my children. The slides are fun and exciting. There is also a snack hothouse for the whole family to rest. The facilities are complete. You only need to bring your own snow gloves. However, there may not be lockers for many people, so it is expensive. Keep your belongings with you, take your children with you, and play until you don’t want to leave. A 2-hour package ticket is enough in a blink of an eye. Next time you come back, you will definitely add an extra hour to try out the adult ski area. It’s a great experience.
It's fun enough for beginners, especially suitable for younger children. The snow entertainment area has a variety of ice and snow activities, such as spiral slides, ski circles, sleds, snowmobiles, etc., which are very popular with children. There will also be many decorations in the park, such as ice sculptures and arctic-style buildings, giving the park a more icy and snowy atmosphere. There are many check-in slots where you can check in.
great place, very convenient for HK People, it is okay for beginner or middle level users. price include cloths and equipment.
