I did this amazing private day tour with @tourspacegeorgia which I booked via @klooksg to the Greater Caucasus Mountains, right on the border of Russia. We made several stops along the way, including to the Russia-Georgia “Friendship” Monument and the Georgetown Trinity Church. The views are hands-down the best on my trip, seeing the snow capped mountains - yes, it’s already started snowing in the mountainous areas ☃️ My guide, Esto, was amazing sharing so many facts about Georgia and the tour locations that I would have honestly not been able to pick up from just reading. Having a private tour is great, coz I get to dictate how long the stops are and if additional stops are needed - for example, Enzo took me to a lovely traditional restaurant run by some Georgian families living in the mountains and recommended I try the yummy Shkmeruli, which is Georgian Chicken Cooked in Milk and Garlic and which is apparently the most popular Georgian dish in Japan 😆 If you only had time to do one day trip when you’re in Tbilisi, Georgia, this is the trip I would recommend because Mount Kazbegi and the Caucasus Mountains are gorgeous 😍

After the morning's meeting and introductions, the mountain adventure begins! The first opportunity to take photos is at Jinvali dam, which offers impressive views of the surrounding area. Next, we will continue exploring at the Ananuri fortress and complex before arriving at another stunning location, Gudauri, where panoramic views of the mountains can be enjoyed. Finally, we will reach the village of Stephantsminda, situated at the foot of Mt. Kazbegi, where we will discover the summit of the day - Gergeti Trinity Church, a symbol of Georgia with a rich history and prime location on top of a hill. Our sightseeing journey will conclude in Kazbegi, and we will return to Tbilisi with wonderful memories from our tour
