This was the clincher to my Yogyakarta trip. Miss Ratna was very accomodating and superbly nice. Probably because of the weather, I was the only one who booked the tour but she didn’t cancel it. She was very adept and fluent. I learned a lot about Jogja, the food, the culture and I made a new friend. Highly recommended when you’re in Yogyakarta.

The organizer Ms. Ratna and Ms. Angel are very nice, friendly and speaks English fluently. They toured us and tried some street foods and local cuisines. We had for the first time the Charcoal Coffee! We road a horse-drawn vehicle in Marlioboro shopping center and rode a local traditional bicycle ride. We visited and tried a traditional shop which serves medicinal herbs and juices. Lastly, we tried a local warm dessert and rode the odong odong! Had fun through the night. Highly recommendable.

Retna and Angel are our tour guides and we are group with Philippines friends. The food are great and the service are good, they are fluent in English and introduce us the history of food and places. We are quite full on 4th station and still have somemore food to try so we could only share among us and it was a little bit of waste because we can’t finish all. Overall it’s a good experience as we have no idea where and what to eat and this tour helped us with this!

Definitely no regret on taking the night food tour, it gives u an insight of this developing city and you will have the opportunity to blend into the life of the locals (which not other ordinary tour will do). We had a wonderful night with Angel, she’s friendly and is passionate with her work. She does not only recommend nice food, but also act as a tour guide and gives you brief history of each of the places we passed by. Will recommend this for first-time visitors so you’ll know what are the specialties in this lovely city. Please book the tour with Klook as this is the cheapest I’ve found so far.

I had the most amazing time exploring Yogyakarta and the food. Aside from learning a lot about Jogja, I get to walk away with an amazing friend in the person of Ratna.

If you are looking for a Jogja food sampler, this tour is what you need. I highly recommend this because the guide knows the best food representative of the region, where exactly to get them, and even knows the history behind some of them. Most of the food were being sold by stalls that have been around for decades so you know that they are authentic.

We enjoyed the trip a lot. The guide was very friendly and responsible. We enjoyed local food and participated a local parade like a local not far from the palace square. Heads up: most Yogyakarta foods are sweet, bcoz they produce brown sugar.

This was one of my favorite experiences in Indonesia! I was able to meet up with Ratna, a sweet girl about my age who took me all over the city in hunt of delicious food. It was pouring but her company and the yummy food made the whole experience a lot of fun, despite the weather. Ratna had previously worked at a museum and I really appreciate all of the local history and politics she could share in addition to information about the local food. I'd definitely recommend this tour!
