Hai Som Tam Convent in Silom Bangkok

Google map doesn’t help much as it keeps confusing the direction. It’s quite easy to find if you don’t follow Google completely. The service is excellent and the staff are friendly. Some of them also speak reasonable English. However, the food is just average. If you’re looking for a value for money meals plus good service. The place can tick the boxes.

The flavors and tastes are very good. Most of the clerks don't understand English and are a little shy, but they communicate well. 2 people eat too much.

Food was absolutely delicious! We took the chicken options and everything was so good! Especially the fried chicken! Portion was very hearty and we couldn’t finish it for 2 pax so we takeaway the roasted chicken and fried chicken, would probably suggest taking the pork options instead of the roasted chicken.

Super delicious Northeastern Thai cuisine. The taste is very authentic and very local. The portions of each dish are not big but they are all delicious. Recommended to Bangkok foodies.

In the past, I would also open my Google Map to find out if there are any good restaurants nearby, and then I found this "Hai Som Tam Convent (Hai ส้มตำคอนแวนต์)" which has quite good reviews on the Internet. It’s Som Tam, Larb (pronounced like “Lapa” and someone translates it as Northeast Cold Pork) and a variety of barbecued meat dishes. I highly recommend this place as a good place to dine!

The food came out quickly and so delicious. A set for 2 is really enough and got so full. So so good~

This down-to-earth food is really delicious. We were afraid of meeting too many people during lunch time, so we went at one o'clock. The set meal was very cost-effective, but it was a bit heavy and it was a pity that there was no rice. We ordered coconut water in addition. With sticky rice, it's very filling for two people.

You can taste various foods at low prices in a local restaurant-like atmosphere. You cannot change the time, so you have to choose your time carefully. When I went when it opened at 11, the staff was eating and preparing for the opening. As a first customer, I had a great meal and personally, the chicken wings were the most delicious.
