What to expect

Explore the historical parts of Hanoi by foot and by cyclo. Start the tour by hopping aboard a cyclo, a traditional rickshaw, and begin the morning traveling through the bustling old quarter, along streets lined with French colonial houses. Once you've reached the Northern Gate of the ancient citadel discover the beautiful Cua Bac Church - a notable example of Catholic influence in the city. You'll then move onto Quan Thanh Temple one of the oldest Taoist temples before heading towards West Lake, hearing the story of John McCain as a Vietnamese Prisoner of War as you stroll. After that, you'll head for the Chau Long Market where you'll witness the hustle and bustle of local life before making a pitstop at a restaurant for a fresh spring roll meal. Then, you'll wak along a hidden alleyway and walk to Hang Than Street to learn about how Vietnamese wedding cakes are prepared. Up next, you'll visit the historic Long Bien railway station and then ride a cyclo around the Old Quarter before having lunch at a local restaurant where you'll end the tour.
